Very interesting. Probably GetResponse is PL of Aweber or vice versa?

I geared up this Sunday to work on my Autoresponder and this is what I get.

I'm unsure what you mean by "PL" but yes Aweber and Getresponse are both down.

I'm gonna say no, definitely not. Completely different interface.

I suppose it's somehow possible that they could have similar web hosting platforms, but I don't know.

Simple, they could be using the same backbone provider. They don't have to be with the same hosting company for both sites to be down. It depends on which carrier company their hosting company uses.

The Getresponse homepage is appearing some of the time, but I can't click anywhere from there. Not nice this. I was already having issues with their forms not displaying properly. Nothing to do but go and have a nap, I guess.

Getresponse is down for me now. It figures because creating a new opt-in form and AR sequence was on my "to do" list for today!

I remember while back this happened with GR and they were down for quite some time. They were very gracious about keeping us updated though.

The whole data center is down and is affecting a lot of different sites. They are working on it and as soon as they update us, we'll pass the news to you!

I just tested my account and was able to login (which may mean the DC has corrected their issues). No official word from the data center, but I wanted to pass that along.

I wouldn't jump to such conclusions Dr.. There's obviosly been a major outage which seems to have affected a number of sites and perhaps even multiple host centers.

That's pretty bad of them. Once a website or company reaches a certain size, you would think they have a cluster server, hosted among different datacenters around the world. And since it's just one datacenter that is currently down, it's save to assume they are only hosted in that one single location as no failsafe kicks in and reroutes to a different server.

Man i've a bad feeling about this.. Both "Great" auto-responder service are down at the same time.. surely there's something wrong about it..

ah ha.. perhaps, both of them are using the same server, and that server unfortunately, crashed.. (because aweber and GR are too huge for them to handle)

I just wanted to mention that while the problem occured we continued to collect subscriptions and statistics. There should be no issues with this if you are a GetRepsonse customer.
