Hi there, I posed a similar question yesterday, but my landing page was broken. Its fixed now. Heres the site: www.electricheatersforhomessite.com

I have it up for almost 2 years and its not making any money. Is this something I should stop spending time on? Have I not spent enough time? Please help me out.

The site itself doesn't look too bad, it's formatted well enough.

You're going to need to look at your stats. How many visitors are you getting? Are people reading your review? Are they clicking through to Amazon? Bounce rate? Where are your visitors originating? All these questions can be answered with Google Analytics.

Your really going to have to provide more information for us to help you out, such as:

    - What keyword are you targeting?
    - How many exact keyword searches are there for your keyword?
    - What's competition for that keyword like?
    - What rank are you in google and is that your primary source of traffic?
    - What strategies are you doing for traffic?
    - Statistics of the site such as visitors, time spent on site, bounce rate

First glance it looks pretty good.

What is your traffic like? Might just be a simple matter of not enough of it.

I did notice that the title tag on the Lasko 6435 page is very long. If you're ranking well, than I guess it's fine. But if you're not ranking well for that page, might be something to look at.

You need to tell us a bit more.

Does your website have any visitors?
If yes, how many? And what is the current conversion rate?

If no visitors, then -> more backlinks for your niche.

    Hi

I think you should change the Titles into links to the articles. Right now you they are not links but merely titles. You have a button linking to your review, but I think linking the titles would be a good idea too.

hmmm. ok well I don't think my traffic is very good at all. I have not checked recently on google analytics, but last time I checked my traffic was not too hot. It seems like my backlinks don't stick or something. I have paid people on fiverr to get me 700 profile links and a thousand scrapebox links. still nothing shows up in backlnk checker. It seems like my article marketing links are the ones that show up.....

I'm glad you guys think the site looks good enough. I was wondering about that. the keyword I am targeting gets about 1600 searches per month.

Did the backlinks ever show up? Or has google just never crawled those sites? Use socialmonkee.com for free to submit 25 backlinks per day to make sure that google knows about them.

I'll give my honest opinion: The 'aesthetics' of the site doesn't look too good. The logo looks like something that could be made in WordArt and the site has a "dull" feel to it that may be impairing visitor retention. I would use a nice-looking Wordpress theme to make the site look like more professional. Have a look at ElegantThemes for example and how professional they look. I'm not saying to purchase it buy just to give you a comparison.

Do you think just getting a custom made header would help or do I need a completely knew theme?

A completely new theme would be better. At the moment it looks like some content on a plain white (dull) background. Even if people visited the site, they wouldn't stay long because it doesn't look professional enough to pass off as legit.

Typically, right under the picture I will put the price. I have found that a low price gets me a lot of orders, and no price = zero. Place a deal of the week on your front page. That is a proven winner. Also, I put a phone number so people can call me up. Mostly, the will call to say things like - your site is not working on my i-phone anymore. Always good to get feed back from users.

I'll be honest with you, any xrumer/senuke/scrapebox posts that come in to my sites I just report them to their host and registrar for spamming. Drop scrapebox, they make it sound brilliant but it only takes one rogue like me to report you and you lose your site, not just from Google but your actual site.

That out of the way, build natural relevant links by placing contextually relevant content on external pages like press releases, guest blogging, article marketing, valuable forum posts etc

Setting the right keywords is one of the crucial steps I think. Did you research keywords in a right way (high traffic and low competition)?

If you have a bit of money to spend, maybe spend more time on marketing your site. That might get more traffic.
