New Rules Regarding List Building

Hello everyone,

I have a quick question. Would it be worth adding opt-in forms to my micro niche sites? All these sites are in the home remedy/ treatment niche (ex bed bug treatment). I have a few of these sites that get a decent amount of traffic. Unfortunately the sites are not making very much money. I do have a feeling that these sites will generate more income if I create a list and offer them more value. What do you think?

The sites are currently monetized with Clickbank products, so if I do decide to build a list I will continue to promote Clickbank products to my subscribers. Down the road I will more then likely create a few of my own products.

I am relatively new to list building, so please forgive me for the noob questions.

Thanks for all the help

Would it be worth it? Absolutely yes. Would you make sales with it? Yes, as long as you pre-sell effectively and provide a good amount of value early on. Is there a guarantee it will work for you? Well only you have the answer to that question. Test it out and find out for yourself.

      Thanks for the reply!

Now I just got to figure out what to give them initially for their name & email address. Any suggestions?

The best thing would be a free report. I recommend that you don't use one of those PLR books as most of them don't offer any real value. It would be better if you write down a report yourself.

          Thanks for the quick reply!

How long should the FREE report be? And I guess you wouldn't want to disclose too much information. After all, if you give them everything there would be no need for them to buy. So if I promote a product on head lice treatment, it would probably be best to offer a free report that offers 10 tips to avoid head lice in the first place, correct?

I really suck at writing, so I will have to find someone to write all the email campaign content for me.

          Thanks again

YES! This is exactly how you should be thinking. Create lists no matter what niche you are in. Without follow up marketing you're just leaving money on the table.

As a newbie, you are way ahead of most and thinking along the lines of a true marketer. Good job!

      Speaking of follow up...

How many emails do you usually send out to your home remedy/treatment subscribers? Wouldn't it be a waste of time to send too much information to someone looking for say a head lice treatment? After all woudn't someone that desperate find a solution in a day or two?

      Thank you

If they have found a solution they would unsubscribe to your list. Your job is to send out as many e-mails as possible over a period of time. Think of it this way, you never know when a person might make up their mind to buy therefore make sure you are always there when they are ready.

And how many e-mails should you send? I would say you should never stop. If they don't want your advice they would just unsubscribe.

Thanks again for the great advice. It looks like I need to find a content writer & a auto responder service.

I would always say yes. Not only have a sign up box on each site, but within articles, link to a squeeze page you create to explain why they should sign up for your list to get some report or special offer or more information about the product that is for subscribers only.

The money is in the list because it is like using your traffic any time you want.

I've posted in other threads on here the amazing ways I've helped friends of mine in many different niches and offline markets make more money by simply having a list to keep in contact with current clients and prospects.

IMHO, no matter what else you do, create a list. Don't spend time and money getting traffic to a site you don't own or to your own site if you don't have a way to capture it.

This is one of the smartest things I've ever seen a noobie post in a long time... Yes as all the rest said... but never forget to always be building that list.. because as your list grows your income will grow along with it and there will be a day when your bank account grows even faster then your list because you'll only get better and wiser. I made my first million with only 10,000 subscribers.

It's good you've got the listbuilding bug early on. Nothing assures continuity of income more than a list of your buyers
