Hello fellow Warriors Recently I've bought one WSO for Newbies, it has a good step by step guide on how to promote a digital product, I've covered the second day written in the task. Basically it says how to explore the niches and make research on keywords and such. Okay, I've chosen a niche, and have found a product to promote. But I have a little question, there are more products in that niche, and they all kinda different. And I'm thinking, what would be the best option, or promote each product independently, or set up a website (or a blog) which is dedicated to that niche and try to promote multiple products related to it? Or should I test it first and try to sell just one product using a "landing page", and such. And only then decide on making a blog or a website? What's your take on that? And by the way, I also use Micro Niche Finder to make my researches, the niche I've chosen by now is "digital photography". Let me introduce you to my research results (I'll give you some keywords or phrases): online photography classes: Search Count (a month) - 1,300, Exact Phrase Count - 87,200 .. I see that here's a big gap between those numbers, but a Micro Niche Finder gives me a green light on this phrase (and there are more phrases with green light on my niche).. should I use it? Whad do you think? |

You can opt to use a landing page and promote each product alone. Or... If the products are about the same you can do a review site for the products. Those are your choices to make. What does your how to material say? Gather info from us but ultimately it's your choice and neither is a bad choice. I personally like to test a product with a preselling/warmup landing page and at least 4-500 visitors before I decide what to do with it and get into building a websites etc. Hope This Helps!! TL |

Thanx TL. You seem to be very helpful for the newbies out here. Yep, my manual uses just one product and one landing page. I think I really should start with just a one page .. I think I should take it a bit slower now, then just rushing in that niche without any further testing. Thanx for advice again. BTW, can you show me how a proper "review site" looks like? |

The only downside to promoting several products that are very similar, is that you end up competing with yourself. If you pick the product you feel is the best, then put all your effort into making it successful, you might have better results. Just my .02

StephenHenderson, I get your point. But here's how I saw promoting several similar products: When I've been researching "digital photography" at ClickBank, I found there some Photoshop Tutorials, Photography Tips, Photography Courses, membership sites where you can sell your photos, tips on how to make money with your camera, and such such such.. So I thought .. hmm .. it would be a cool idea to make a website for digital photography newbies, where I could get all the information related to this, and post links to those products .. I believe there are really good ones and could be a great help for people. Again, it's just an idea, and I wonder what is your take on this .. cuz I still learn how to generate cool ideas or see other opportunities in promoting products. Thanx a bunch in advance! EDIT: I mean .. am I on a right pattern of thought here? |

I would test the product in the niche to see if you can get people to buy it or them before beginning to build pages or lists around it. Write a few articles to it or drop some answers in yahoo answers with a redirect link. Get 500 or so hops and check the conversion ratio. Save yourself the frustration of spending a bunch of time building before you know it will convert. I've built sites and pages before that have gotten a bunch of traffic as far as hops, but the sales from the hops were not good. Turned it into an adsense site and moved on to the next one. |

I think you can make this work though :-) One more thing..whatever you do, make sure to include an email opt-in list so you can promote to the people that may never come to you site again. This is one of the MOST important steps!

Thanks for the input. Sounds like you are on the right path. I recently just added some blogging products to my site as well. I am very happy with the results, now I just need to promote like crazy.

Actually I think I can manage to build a website quite quick, I have a big background in this, was working in a web-design company. And still working there, so wouldn't be a problem

Sure Bryan! And I have just a little to go though ![]() bballer23, I understand that I should not only promote something that best captures me, or something I like .. but something that will actually bring me more results .. isn't it so? Or? |
