Upgrading vBulletin

vBulletin releases an upgrade once in a while and I am not as used to it as wordpress. So far I couldn't find an auto upgrade option so I assume there isn't one.

What is the most straight forward way to upgrade vb?

Is it ok to hire someone to do it?

    Hi Deepak,

    No there isn't an automated upgrade script, even though lots of customers were asking for it.

    When I used vbulletin in the past, I just overwrote the files with the new ones that were included in the upgrade.

    How heavily customized is your install?
