A young bow is walking down the road on his way to his Mother's house after playing with his friends. On his journey he notices a crooked old man struggling to pick up his walking stick. Being one to always lend a hand the boy shouts out,
"Hey Mister, are you OK?"
The old man replies,
"No, please help me!"
The boy rushes over and picks up the old man's walking stick.
"Thank you, young man, you're very kind. I've been struggling for some time and I'd like to reward your kindness."
The old pan pulls out two bags of coins.
"These are both for you, there's 37 gold coins in each, and a special note in one of the bags. But you can only read it when you get home."
"Thank you, Sir", the boy replies as he skips away.
Excited by the generous old man's gift he opens the first bag and spills the gold coins onto his bed at home.
Inside there's a note attached.
"This bag represents S and this is how much S is worth, young man."
He opens the next bag.
"This bag represents F and this is how much F is worth, young man"
Confused, the boy reads the note.
"My young friend success and failure are both valuable teachers, and we can learn equally from both. So go forth with your dreams and remember everything that happens, successes and failure, good and bad, triumph and disaster, can make you a wealthy man."
And so the young boy learned a valuable lesson that day and became president of an organization. All because he learned that success and failure are both valuable teachers which can help us succeed.
