Could TV's be a good niche? Because I was looking through amazon and found some good tvs with one brand. I have found some good keywords also!

    Amazon niche keywords are always a good idea. But it all depends on competition.

    Just about anything can be a great niche, just make sure to have done your research. Long Tail keyword phrases can be great for some of the more competitive searches as well, I'd look into trying to target some of the specific tv's possibly even going as far as model number. You'll get a bit less traffic for the longer tail keywords, but you'll have people searching for the exact TV they want, and if your ad can serve them the lowest price you've got a great shot at a conversion.

    As mentioned above, anything can be a good niche. It all comes down to keyword research.

    tv's aren't a niche the market is massive for tv's. Something like "black tv stands" is a niche.

      I agree with neil, if you go for say Sony TV's for example the competition would be crazy!

      You should narrow that down to say "55' Sony TV stand" or "55' Sony TV mount"

      Yep, I agree with this. You better go for something specific about televisions, like the accessories and stuff like that. You could also try the TV brands, but you'll have a ton of competition there.

    No offense, but I've seen you post MANY threads without actually searching through the forums to find the answers (which have been answered hundreds of times over).

    You'll uncover gold if you dig deep enough - find ONE niche and begin to work (and I mean get off the WarriorForum for a week and get this thing going).

    If you're using SEO (which I assume you are) then begin the process that allows you to gather traffic through this method. Structure your offers and sell, sell, sell (always with your customers in the forefront of your mind).

    The only sure way to tell is by testing. Just make sure you have a way to differentiate yourself from the rest.

    Find out what your closest competitors aren't doing or providing to your target market and fill that gap with with an extra service. And don't forget to overdeliver. It will help to further set you apart. Good luck.

    Sounds a bit broad to be a niche. Personally, I would dig a lot deeper and look for a sub category and perhaps a sub of that category. Internet Tv's for example then dig deeper still? Good luck!

    Yeah, choose the niche-specific long tail keywords and go for it. And don't try to please everybody. I'm suggesting that you go for the high ticket items on Amazon running into many hundreds.

    It will take you just as much time or even more to persuade a person looking to buy a $50 product than to persuade a person searching for the $500 product. Especially true with tech products on Amazon.

    Cheers,

    I agree with one of the other replies. TVs aren't really a niche. You would need to be more specific, like "large screen LCD TVs" or "3D TVs"

    We could argue all day and night on whether televisions are a niche or not. A niche is simply "a specialized market" according to the Merriam Webster dictionary. So you could make the argument both ways.

    When I look at a potential market I look at a few things:

    * Market size
    * Competition
    * Ads

    If it has those 3 things (I tend to go for larger markets now), I'm going to take a closer look at it.

    You could make an authority website that specializes in giving information and content about the latest televisions, where to get support, create an inforproduct on how to purchase the best tv for the best price or another one on how to create a home theatre on a shoe-string budget, etc.

    The possibilities are pretty solid with TVs. There are plenty of people doing well selling TVs online, however they also sell products that compliment TVs, such as speakers (not just Bose), tuners, DVD players, etc.

    Regarding your good "keywords". What criteria are you using? A keyword is only good if it makes you money and the only way to find it is if someone else shares that info with you (highly unlikely) or you test it yourself.

    If you're going to go with TV's as a niche, I guess I should clarify my first post a bit more, I would not only target a brand or size, but go as far as targeting the model of the TV.

    For example instead of "55in LG LED TV" target something like "LG Infinia 55LW5600" (disclaimer: this is a high competition KW, you'll need to do your research to find an appropriate model).

    People searching for something this specific are already in the buying mode, they've done their research and if your site can offer them the lowest price (even if it's through amazon) you've got a better chance of a conversion.

    I've used this method with clients in the past running Amazon affiliate sites and we've had great results.

    What kind of site are you actually looking to build? TVs itself is obviously super competitive. But i'm sure that there's some micro niches within TVs that have yet to be tapped into.

      I found a niche that sells a $30-$50 product.

      I am concentrating on offline stuff presently and do not have time to persue it.
      It was an item someone bought thru my link even though I had no idea what it was before I looked at it.

      How many people live their lives without a TV? Not many. So, it's definitely a good niche to look into. Sub-niche it down by make and model and size, and find a unique angle to exploit it until it's profitable.
