I'm not sure if this is out of place (in general or maybe just wrong section), but I couldn't find a better place to put it.

I would like to make money online through something like niche sites (or anything really), but I only have a couple hundred dollars that I can spare on this endeavor. I've lurked warrior and many other similar forums for a long time, and it seems there are a lot of people who give it a try, waste money, and then give up. I'd rather avoid wasting money, and I most definitely don't want to give up until I've had success (see : not give up).

Seeing how I only have a few hundred I can afford to spend, I don't think I can afford to pay for a mentor in conjunction with the inevitable expenditures such as domains, webhost/VPS, and any tools that I might need. So instead of offering monetary incentive in exchange for a mentor, I thought to try offering myself as an assistant of sorts.

I see it as, I do your grunt-work, such as typing (I type 100+ wpm accurately and I feel I have an above average vocabulary), graphic design (I'm not great at it, but maybe good enough to get by?), and all other footwork that you'd normally do for a few projects (probably like 5-10 projects, but whatever you see fit is fine by me), all the while learning the process of whatever task I'd be able to replicate on my own after the mentoring is complete.

I am on Pacific Standard Time and have a flexible schedule (I can make whatever you can offer work).

I'd appreciate any and all offers (or possibly relevant suggestions).

Thanks and looking forward to finding out whether or not my offer is even viable.

I would help you, but my daily schedule is booked up all day, everyday. And i personally dont think you need a mentor. Are you new to internet marketing and online business? If so... have you considered selling on ebay?

Alex, there are plenty of resources in threads within this forum. Also, The War Room is a great resource. If you check out the Masterminds section, then you can find Skype masterminds (maybe even local weekly meetings) to join that could possibly provide mentors. You might be able to post this within the JV section and find someone to work with. I found my first JV there. I did the gruntwork building a large niche site and learned along the way. We split the profits.

I've attempted a niche site, but I ignorantly chose a saturated niche. I've also embarked on a Amazon/FBA business venture which went great for a little while, but lots of people do anything they can for a refund of a book that the bought 2 weeks ago, 1 out of 4 of the books I was selling I was giving away and taking a loss on, when I refused a refund because their reasoning was trivial, I would get negative ratings (despite many 5 stars) which overall greatly effected my sales volume and in turn crushed that business (I didn't lose any money, I still turned a profit, it just didn't prove to work longterm).

I've also bought and sold iPhones locally on craigslist, this only seems to work for 2-3 weeks at a time because I make an impact on the market and drive the prices down too low to continue, I then have to wait for a self-correction to take place. I do this when I can, but as I said, I have to let the market correct itself a lot.

I would have posted to JV, but it says "don't post here if it is your first post", plus I wasn't quite sure if this was a joint venture. I'll defiantly look into the War Room, and I'll check out the masterminds section. Thank you very much for your input

    Alex,

The most important advice I can offer is to focus on one project at a time. You have to learn to crawl before you can walk. So first figure out how you can offer great value to your prospects and visitors. Find a niche and figure out how you wish to monetize your project (whether it be affiliate programs, adsense, selling your own product, etc. Get a website up and research keywords and available domain names. Once you have that focus on building a mailing list and create an giveaway that your prospects will want.

Remember to stay focused on one task at a time. Otherwise you will be overwhelmed and may not get as much done (if anything at all).

When getting started, you most likely don't need a mentor but rather the motivation to just do it. You can always search and find the basic stuff on the web if you can research well. Research is actually one of the most important thing when it comes to marketing because with good research you can find and learn to do ANYTHING.

First build the foundation and then move on to the next project. Befriend people who can help you and get help on this forum (it's invaluable)

If you have any further questions on getting your site up, feel free to ask.

    We're here to help.

    Cheers.

Thanks for the post. I have the motivation, and the time, what I don't have is the money to go through the trial and errors. Granted, some in inevitable, I just think it could be minimized by working with somebody who has already had success.

I recently saw a WSO banner ad offering to mentor newbies. I suggest that you do a research in the WSO forum to find the right mentor.

I would recommend definitely Chris Farrell Membership Site. For beginners and newcomers I found him the best mentor around, with step by step instructional videos, covering every aspect that you must know to start earning money online with Affiliate Marketing.

I heard fantastic things of Kim Roach's membership site also but I can't say I know her, only saw a few videos.
    Hope that helps.
    Regards!

      I agree.

I don't know what level you may be at from a knowledge side but it appears you have a grip on the basics from what you have related so far.

I suggest that you do an A-Z course as mentioned above and would suggest you also look at "The challenge" I think it's "challenge dot co".

That course and Chris Farrell's helped me a lot, and I had an 8 year old physical product site and a 9 year old service site at the time. I had core knowledge like you, "yes", what to do with it "no".

Of course the knowledge on the WF, if you glean for it, is worth $Billions!

      Good Luck,

Hi Alex, I really understand your position and being in the warrior forum you are not alone. There are lots of warriors (if not all of them) here to help us. I never found such a huge place where likeminded internet marketers (even Billionaires) hang around.

I really second Marcelomusza's opinion, Chris Farrell Membership is the best place to join without spending huge amount, I believe it's 37/month. I strongly recommend Chris Farrell Membership to newbies as well as intermediates.

Wow, I honestly didn't expect to get such great feedback (it seems this forum truly is an amazing place and I feel quite stupid for not registering sooner). I'm currently talking with a couple people who seem willing to work something out with me so we'll see how that goes. I'll update this thread when I have something worked out indefinitely.

For now, I don't think I need any more offers for help (I think I can only accept one, despite wanting to take them all up for the sake of diversified knowledge), so I have some thinking to do now.

      Hey Alex,

I think I may be of help to you, if you want to partner with someone who truly wants to provide quality and value to customers on an ongoing basis and not run at the first site of success, then I'll be your "huckleberry". There's only one thing...you must be willing to do the work day in and day out and you must be prepared to create alot of products and promote these products with long term profits in mind and not short term sightedness. I'm willing to work with only individuals who want to build assets and help others create the idea futures for their families and see to their long term success. My first order would be for us to chat and see if we both have some common ground. I have the resources you need without the guru bullXXXX. I'm a straight shooter and I love helping others, which is why I volunteer in my community and see to those that need the help, get it. I've wanted to form a mastermind group, but I can only make this available to a limited number of people, due to time constraints and the possibility of only being able to help a limited few. So if you want to get in on this mastermind group, on the ground floor, then contact me and we'll discuss this opportunity in more detail. My goal is to create a 100Mil business, but I also know that I can't do it by myself. I've got an abundance of knowlege ranging from web design for conversion, copywriting, traffic with conversion in mind, systems that we can use to build a foundational business that ultimately helps our customers get what they want and helps us to accomplish our goals as well. Let's see if we can get this off the ground and running. Remember, there's no such thing as failure, only feedback.

      Thanks and regards,
