Can we register many accounts with the same domain registrar?

Hello experts.

If we want to manage domains, it may be be helpful to have several accounts with the same registrar. But is it against the policy of the registrars? For example, can I have 3 accounts with Godaddy, 4 accounts with Moniker, 2 accounts with Network Solution and 5 accounts with NameCheap?

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Naz

They will tell you when you have too many. With some domains changing names, DOBs, passwords are enough but others keep track of your IP.

I have 2 accounts with namecheap and 2 accounts with godaddy. I used exactly the same info for both accounts on both sites, but used a different credit card (don't know if that's relevant). On each site one is for business and the other personal use. I signed up for all of them from the same ip. I figured they wouldn't care because I'm giving them more money...but if you want to be certain then check their terms.

I suppose that would be one way of taking advantages of those "limit one per customer" domain deals that GoDaddy often runs with a coupon code!

This thread, from another forum, is a bit dated but seems to indicate that GoDaddy is OK with multiple accounts:

Multiple GoDaddy Accounts Allowed? - NamePros.com

And this one, direct from the NameCheap forum and answered by a NameCheap representative clearly indicates that multiple accounts are fine with them (and this is just a few weeks old too):

NameCheap.com Forums • View topic - How many accounts can we have?

    Hope that helps!
