I'm not sure how long it will be good for. It appears to still be working at the moment. Hope this can help someone out!

Network Solutions was one of the first domain registrars ever around! They are plenty reputable

Yes, they have $2.95 promotion. Their normal price is $34.99 !

I tried few days ago several times. It shows $2.95 on the page, also $2.95 on the cart. But when I click next (after filling in credit card details), suddenly the total changed to $15.99 !

Just at the bottom of the page, near to the 'I Agree to the service agreement-Continue' button, it shows:

      Total: $15.99
      $19.00 savings

Luckily I noticed that. I believe out of 10 people, 2-5 people wont notice that. How about 10,000 people? They earn a lot just from that !

I tried more than 3 times on different days, both paypal and credit card, also show $15.99 after I click next (despite it shows $2.95 in the previous page)

      Beware ! Sneaky tactic !

No, it's not an affiliate link. It's copied directly from Google Ads on the top of Google search. Do you think it would be very professional of me to post an affiliate link of a competitor when I have a web hosting company?

You get a free domain name from Yahoo Webhosting... you will just have to pay for the Website Hosting service each month.

If you Google "Go Daddy" and click on the first paid search (not free) listing you can get a domain for $2.95. You have the option to buy multiple years for that same price per year.

I have never even imagined domains can be sold at such a low price, are they making any profit from it really? I think many domain companies or competitors will close shop now!

If I buy a domain name at NetworkSolution, can I transfer the domain name to other registrar later? Such as NameCheap or GoDaddy.

They're not making money, but actually losing money. They are however, gaining more customers to send their junk advertising to.

Anyone who is worried about a $35/year bill for registration is either:

    1) Building hundreds of spam sites that each potentially make a few dollars per year.

    2) Has their priorities extremely messed up.

Network solutions isn't "one of the first." They were the first. They handled 100% of domain registrations back when domain registrations were free.

They are also the registrar used by a vast majority of real companies who don't yet qualify for Mark Monitor or Corporate Domains. Go do a whois on 10 or 100 known real businesses. Notice how often Network Solutions shows up?

Now go do a whois on the first 10 scam WSOs you see. Do a whois on the first 10 long page "Make $1,000,000 this week by doing absolutely nothing" sales letters. Do a whois on your favorite 10 PLR or blog spamming web-sites. How many times do you see Network Solutions? How many times do you see Namecheap or Godaddy?

Don't you think that EVERYONE running real businesses that can potentially affect your business knows about who hangs out on Network Solutions vs. Godaddy and Namecheap? Don't you think it affects your ranking, your possibilities for getting venture capital, the people willing to work for you, the companies willing to partner with you in some way and EVERYTHING else?

It's $35 to hang out with real businesses. It's $10 or something like that to hang out with the scammers and spammers. Your choice.
