Using other companys Logos on my site

Hello!

I write articles about companys on my site, is that legal if I use their logo in my posts?
I can't ask them for permissions as they will never write back and I wrote about many companies.

Thank you!

Depends on what the article is about, right? I don't imagine many companies would be happy if you use their logo and your articles are something negative about them.

Most big companies have a "PRESS" section or "COPYRIGHT" section on their websites, detailing how their creatives may or may not be used.

Using copyright work without permission, in most cases is not allowed. I'm not a lawyer, but personally, I'd avoid using anything that wasn't mine unless I had express permission to do so.

Not having the time to wait for a reply, is never an excuse in the even of being sued.

      +1

If it is to promote their products and make them more profits, I don't see why they would not reply. But even then like Karl says, not wanting to wait for their reply is not a very good excuse to use when getting sued.

I write about shopping deals in famous stores, and on my other site I analyze the logo with a small article like what their colors mean etc

That may come under fair use - but I say *MAY* - so I would advise checking with someone who is qualified to advise you further.

Seeking legal advice on a public forum will not give you indemnity in the even of bad advice.
