What converts better: Instant Sales Page vs. Launch Sequence

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has tested between using a perpetual launch vs sales page right after the opt in.

I'm wondering which one converts better? Currently I'm using a perpetual launch system (optimizepress) but I'm starting to wonder if a direct sales page right after the opt in is the best method.

Thanks

The launch process typically creates higher conversions because it uses what Frank Kern calls the "Results In Advance" method of pre-selling.

When you use Frank's RIA method, you are building trust and desire in the prospect which makes for higher conversions.

The idea is to create a 4 or 5 piece content series that are all related to the product in a way that solves problems that the product target would want to have solved.

As the prospect receives another piece of problem solving content, there is more trust in the product creator and a stronger desire to have the product.

Pre-selling always does a great job at getting higher conversions and the RIA launch style pre-selling is even better.

This is a video I made to show a technique I use for creating the launch content for a product that I am an affiliate for.

    Definitely split test it yourself.

Depending on your particular program, it migh convert better with all the features being presented on the sales page and then make the sale.

Generally, if I want something, I want it now and it just gives me time to cool down and find reasons why I don't really need when given more time.

However, the results might amaze you.

I've been doing a lot more testing on squeeze pages and headines lately and it is amazing the things that convert.

There are many different funnels to use and using a sales page directly after an optin isnt seen as a launch sequence its more a backend or funnel system.

For the launch of a brand new site then a full launch sequence is recommended (this all depends on the quality of the site & product though)

So you would start by giving a freebie out to build a seed list, then roll them onto 2 or 3 more peices of free launch content, this can be Pdf's, videos, or mindmaps but to do well generally needs to told a story over the next 7 to 10 days until you finally launch your new site and email your list.

Of course thats a very broad look at how it works and does depend alot on many things such as your own recognition and web presence along with any past products and not to mention the responsiveness of your list to ipen your emails and actually follow along with the launch!

But if your just trying to convert prospects to buyers then you can use the funnel system of optin (squeeze) page to sales page.

But for this to be effective the offer generally has to be low and the sales page needs to be good.

Most people optin as its free!!!

It will depend on the product and what you can put together.

Sales page is easier to put together. For lower priced products where you may not have to build the value this can work better. People see something on the page...they like it...they want it...they buy it immediately.

If you put together some quality content I can see the edge going to the Launch Sequence. In most cases people won't buy until they see the value. "Value based selling" works especially with high priced items. A "launch sequence" can build value for the product if you do a good job with it....or it can convince them not to buy!!!!!

    So what should you do?

Try them both and see what works for you.
