Traffic Source...Please help me brainstorm!!

Hello Warriors,


Hope everybody is doing okay.

I am in need of a little brain storming, so any help would be appreciated!


I have an adult dating site model after ashley madison, so the main users would be married people looking to cheat.

I have advertise on Adwords and received a lot of junk users... a lot of perverts out there let me tell ya.. the majority of people that comes from Google are guys...

I used facebook (they don't allow my site to advertise directly, so I had to do a redirect...) but I liked the people that come from facebook better. The clicks were cheaper and I could specified the gender of the users ... So I was able to get some ladies to the site.

I noticed that a lot of sites with the same theme as mine, uses profile baiting and I am trying not to do that... I might have to...

The thing with Facebook was that I was only able to get single people, so here is my question:

If you had to create a site (redirect) to attract married bored women... what would your site be about?

and if you know about any other traffic source that might work for me, please share!

    Have you talked to any bored married women? You'll get the best answers by asking them directly. What about surveying your current female users? Maybe they get a free month or something for filling out a survey...

    My guess would be celebrity gossip type stuff. But I'm a single guy in my 20's so chances are I'm totally off

    Another traffic source you could use is Twitter- Step 1) Create an account, fill out everything, etc. 2) Determine which accounts your target market follows (maybe QVC, Desperate Housewives, etc.). Then follow everyone who follows those accounts. You can use software to do this automatically. 3) Be active with your account, talk to people, promote your link, share relevant info with your following, etc.

      Whenever I do this, they end up wanting to date me.

      The wife locks me up now between sunup and sundown!!! Probably a wise choice.

    Why have you only been able to get singles from facebook? If you specify marriage as a setting in your targeting, that shouldn't be a problem?

      Hey Stan,

      Because the redirect sites that I have pointing to my site are also about dating... and when your site is about dating you can only market to single people...

      that's why I might have to work on a more general site to be able to market to married women as well.

    Create two Facebook profiles, one female and the other one male. Put up a sexy pic. Then you use the tools you find here ore at bhw, to get friends. When you got 5K friends, post a link

    Consider making a cheating wives tumblr account and posting pics/stories daily. You will eventually build some good traffic and can then drop some links.

    Married, bored women? Interesting group to market. They would probably drive themselves to those type of websites that cater to that type of thing instead of letting someone lead them to such a place.
