Hi

Got a really annoynig issue for which I'm sure there is a really simple solution......

I am in the UK and trying to find exact searches for keywords using Google.com

However, because I am in the UK, Google automatically defaults my searches back to Google.co.uk - very annoying.

Can anyone advise??

Thanks

James

Yeah it's when I'm doing the keyword search in Google that the issue arises - I.e looking for competing number of sites for keywords etc.

    Hi James,

    Yes it's simple.

    www.google.com/search?q=your+search+term&gl=XX

Where XX has a number of options:

a two digit country code such as US, UK, AU, FR

    Regards,
    Andy

    nothing to see here.

      Thanks Andy,

Just to clarify, where would I enter the two digit country code??

      Thanks again

        In place of the XX

        i.e

        http://www.google.com/search?q=your+search+term&gl=US

          i.e

your search term - Google Search

          Got that Andy.

          Thanks for the help.

Thanks for that handy URL form!

I guess you could also use an IP mask such as hidemyass.com if you're just trying to be 'not UK'.
