How To Message Results Of A Backlinking Campaign

Hello all,

When doing a back-linking campaign, what is the best way to find out how many external backlinks you have to your site.

I use Alexa to see back-links. How often does Alexa update? I see now their backlink stats are not accurate with my sites.

Should I be using a Google search: "link:www.mysite.com" instead. Again, if Google doesn't index a backlink page, it won't show up.

So, what's the best way to measure a backlinking campaign?

    Alexa updates the back links a bit rare.
    The google search: link:www.mysite.com, is for seeing how many inbound links are indexed in the search engine, not outbound.
    You can try to log in you webmaster tools account and see there the outgoing links.
