Wow - life has been crazy. My husband was laid off for two years and is now back at work making more than he was before. Now it is ME that does not have a job!! I have epilepsy and it is really hard for me to work outside of the house. I was writing articles for several companies but every single one of them has closed down. I have obtained one private client who pays very well but does not need many articles written. I am now desperate to get started. My husband makes enough to pay the bills, but I have bills of my own that I want to pay off. I am getting depressed and losing motivation. I have always wanted to do affiliate marketing and it has always been something on the back of my mind. I was going to sign up with Wealthy Affiliate but I cannot afford the monthly fee they charge. I am completely clueless. I understand computers and have a degree in Computer Information Systems but know nothing about web design. I know I am smart enough to do this but I just need some help. I have no clue where to get started and it is all so overwhelming! The more I read on this forum the more confused I get. I am just interested in affiliate marketing - getting some sites up - using Amazon affiliate or Clickbank - whatever is best and the most lucrative. I need money like yesterday so I want to get this started. I know in my heart that I will be successful at this. Any tips for someone that knows absolutely nothing and the best way to get started that doesn't cost me money? It may be impossible but I have to get something going or I'm going to lose my mind!!!

First, what are your passions? Food, travel, whatever. Second, you are a copywriter, so you can be an ebook writer. Go to Amazon and review the best sellers list in the section related to your passions. If they are best sellers, that means that someone is buying them. Now, write. then, sell.
The chaos on WF is largely because people are trying to get rich quick or get rich with no effort or just chasing the latest "shiny thing."
Being an author his little or no initial investment but your time. Ebook covers are cheap, Amazon is cheap. Get a couple books going and we'll talk some more. you can reach me using handle, saleclozer, at yahoo mail if you need more help or want a coauthor.

If your absolutely new and have no knowledge of this industry, I would recommend a book. Any book on affiliate marketing. You will not learn a step by step system in the books but you will gain understanding how the industry works and why we do what we do. Only then you will find Warrior Forum as an invaluable source since it is here where you can learn actual "How To ...", tips tricks and tactics. Until you understand the strategy the tactics will not make sense and will only confuse you.

Hello friend. First of all, stay motivated. You have a skill which is writing articles and I assume you enjoy doing this and many people have great success as article marketers. So I suggest going this route. Have you ever heard of Travis Sago? He is known as "the bum marketer" and I suggest following signing up for his course: bummarketingmethod dot com. He is also a Wealthy Affiliate member and very well respected in the internet marketing world.

You could also set up a web 2.0 site such as a squidoo lens or a free wordpress blog. Place you affiliate links within these sites. Write articles on the top article directories linking to these properties. There are many courses out there teaching various strategies in how to generate free traffic.

Anyways, stay motivated and keep moving forward. Good Luck

What you need is a guide to get started. If you can afford, I'd recommend you 'Proven Income Method' by Jan Roos, which cost $37 only one-time. This is a great course about Amazon affiliate marketing.

i have noticed that you are good at article writting offer it on fiverr ( you can easily do $30 a day) then in a very short time you will have enough money to sign up at Wealthy Affiliate and you will be doing what you want!

    Welcome to this site.

There have been many posts on this forum of people who have sites who don't want to have to write so you can get clients by placing an ad on this forum.

Then, as for creating other methods of making money online, there are tons of free courses and ebooks with step by step instructions on how to make money with several different methods.

So, start using the search feature of this forum and read and read and read.

Use a lot of free stuff before you just go out and start buying stuff.

Then once you find a method that resonates with you, stick with it.

I recommend whatever else you do, build a list.

I want to wish you the best of luck with your ventures. I think there is some big money to be made in writing articles, blogs and even basic slideshow videos. If I was going to start over again with Internet Marketing, I would create a content creation company and reach out to business owners who are starving for quality content.

You should start a blog using Blogger.com, put Google Adsense as on your blog, and then start making posts about something that you're an expert about. Then you will want to distribute your blog links all across the internet (regular IM promotion, submitting to blog directories, submitting to RSS directories, posting everyday, etc).

If I were jut starting out I would look in the Warrior Special Offers section and find one or two business models that interested me.

Now, when you're looking at WSO's you have to careful because some of them are garbage. Look at feedback. Check out the seller. Does it seem like a bunch of hype? You might even contact a few people that have left feedback and ask them for more in depth feedback. Don't be in too much of a hurry to pick a WSO because it's going to be your business model for a good long while so you don't want to rush.

But when you find one or two legit WSO's you could follow those business plans. Eventually if you pick two one will rise above the other. Follow that one business plan solidly for a year. Other things will distract you. promise they will! If you find something else that looks "fun" (we call that "shiny things syndrome"), create a file that you store those in for later when the one business plan you're working on starts to turn a decent profit. There's always later for those. Just make sure everything you're doing and learning is focused on that one business plan.

The easiest thing to fall into when you're first getting started online is finding too many "shiny" things to try and then getting overwhelmed and giving up. Then you're right back where you started. It's happened to soooo many of us. But when you focus on one thing, whatever it is, and stay consistent with it for a year, you're going to see success. Obviously once you're with it for a year, you've made such an investment it will be a part of you and you'll stick with it even longer.

      Good luck!
