Ultimate Affiliate Product Checklist..

First of all I'd like to say thanks for an absolutely
amazing forum. If ever I'm stumped in my IM venture, I
always gravitate to the Warrior Forum before I dive in.

I know when I'm looking for an affiliate product to promote, there's
certain things I look for before it passes the grade..

Some things I can think of myself are:

1) A good sales copy; great headline, great benefits,
proven results, testimonials, rock solid guarantee, call
to action, the benefits and guarantee re-stated on order page.

2) TONS of pre-written sales material for me; banners,
pre-written emails, squeeze page, blog review, signatures,
thank you page banners, etc, etc. (Can't believe I'm
finding so many product owners who DON'T do this!! :p)

3) Conversion rates...although I don't know how you may
find this out? On Rap Bank, (which I'm currently sifting
through), It gives the Index, which means it's heavily
promoted...can you simply email the owner to ask conversions??

4) Back end offers, that compliment the product and put
a little extra in my pocket..

5) Refund rate%...not sure what's an average refund
rate though?

So my question is: What do YOU look for when finding an
affiliate product to promote?

As always, Looking forward to some great and unique answers!!

I assume your looking for products in the IM niche since you mentioned RAP?

If so, you might take a look at the marlon sanders affiliate program. His stuff converts well, and pays good on the backend. He has been around the IM game since I was a kid... no exaggeration at all.

Sure I've heard of him, one of the great Im Pioneers I would say... (I wasn't a kid when he first came out ..lol). Thanks, I'll check out his products. Does he pay directly to paypal?

And thanks as well ryanman and Chambers...It's sometime's the simplest things I don't think of!!! Of course it must appeal to us and make us want to buy ...and if it converts well, then I guess the rest just doesn't matter...

yes, he pays out himself every couple days now i think. It's not split or instant commissions like rap and the others, but it is a very quick turnaround.

I'm always looking for two things to start with:

Would I actually buy and use this?
Is the payout/commish worth the time?

If it doesn't meet both of those I'll move on

Only this one thing would do - A PRODUCT WHICH CONVERTS PEROID!

Everything else would be secondary to this core point. If it is a product which converts, nothing else would be needed.
