Clickbank - FTC - "Make Money Online" - WSO Doomesday - Not Necessarily

Yesterday, I received a very interesting e-Mail from someone I respect and follow. His Subject line immediately caught my attention and his e-mail was very blunt and to the point. And I paraphrase...

Chances are you know Clickbank (CB) received a visit from the FTC last year or perhaps a little longer than a year ago. Part of the reason for the visit was the listing of "Make Money Online Scams". It seems the FTC felt CB's platform made it extremely easy for their clients to scam the consumers. End result was CB got told to "Clean Up Your Act" and CB began doing so.

Recently the FTC has issued even stronger regulations about "Make Money Online Scams" and CB has folded and is removing the "Make Money Online Today Scam Section".
Next he caught me off guard, got me peeved and I got ready to fire him off a "What The Hell" e-Mail. Fortunately I thought about it overnight and realized he made a heck of a lot of sense. And I paraphrase...

Once CB has cleaned up their marketplace their is only one major offender left and that is the WSO section (That is his opinion not mine, before you flame me).

Since it is unregulated for posting of "Make Money Online" put up every day. Some are legitimate, but many are not. The end result being the FTC may come knocking on the door of the WSO and force major changes on what can be run as a WSO and what cannot be posted.
My colleague brought out a very valid point, in my opinion. Each of us, as long as we pay the fee, have the right to post a WSO and make money through this awesome forum. However the WSO fee doesn't give us the right to rip people off with "subtle scams and outright scams".

You can be much more profitable with a long time legitimate business than you can with a short term scam. When folks learn to trust you they will buy again and again. Each sale can mean more profit for you.

Lets all do our part and keep the FTC and other regulators out of our money making WSO section. Keep it clean and honest.

Please don't turn this into a rant against the government, because if you do the thread will be deleted. Let's have some suggestions, ideas and opinions on how we can continue to safely make money in the WSO section.
