How To Generate Traffic For Listbuilding Using Only Free Methods
While there are ways to jumpstart your traffic and listbuilding plans, many sites don’t have the resources that others have to generate more traffic. Well, you don’t have to spend a cent; all you need is the proper mindset and a lot of eagerness. You also must have the drive and perseverance to do hard work and research to generate more traffic for your site.

Take advantage of online forums and online communities. The great thing about forums and online communities is that you can target a certain group that fits the certain demographic that you are looking for. You can discuss about lots of things about the niche that you represent or offer. Another great advantage is that you know what you are getting into and you will be prepared.

With online communities and forums you can build a reputation for your company. Show them what you are made of and wow them with your range of expertise about the subject, with that you can build a reputation and build trust with the people in your expertise and knowledge.

When you have built up a sizeable list, another great idea is trading links with other listbuilders. This is otherwise called adswapping. All you have to do is reach an agreement with another listbuilder to exchange email promotions. This works well especially when both sites feature the same niche.

Jump On facebook, linkedin, twitter, myspace, and pretty much any other social network and post your squeeze page there, and ask people to share it, and tell them if they share it to PM you and then you will send them a gift (whatever you decide to give them) if they send you a screenshot of their share or post.

Can you put so much wrongness in one question?

How do you think your customers and prospective customers would feel if they found out that you internally referred to them as "traffic?"

List building? Is that all your customers are to you? A list? Think about your customers as valuable people who you help in return for a paycheck and you'll do a lot better.

Solo ads? We spent $10K to find out if there was any use to advertising via solo ads. It is term that refers to a scam that works like this:

    1. You hire a bunch of third world residents who will do unethical things for $0.10 a pop. You tell them to get a free gmail, yahoo or hotmail account. You recommend using an american sounding name with 3 or 4 digits after it when getting the email address.

    2. You sell a "solo ad" to your "list."

    3. In fact, you send the web-page to your list of third world residents. They go sign up for your "free" offer using their throw-away email addresses. They get paid 10 cents to do it. Some only get 5 cents. Those who know how to use proxy servers can actually earn 25 cents or so.

That is what you are paying for when you order a solo ad. You get a list of third world residents who aren't very honest and have no interest in checking out any of the emails you are sending to their throw-away email addresses.

Get a grip. When you focus only on scamming others, you are just going to get scammed by the scammers who told you about how to scam.

Customers are people who you help in return for payment. They are not "traffic" or "lists."

Solo ads are a scam. They are not what they claim to be. They are unethical people using unethical people to trick other unethical people into thinking they are on the road to making millions by being unethical. It doesn't work that way.

I don't completely agree with this, as I have run some very good solo ads in the past. Sadly though, what they decribe is not uncommon when it comes to solo ads. There was some info going around about a popular seller that was doing this exact thing. Just like anything else, you just have to do your research on a seller and the responsiveness of their list. I usually do very well with my ads, and make enough sales to break even or profit on the front end, which tells me its quality traffic. It's all about your approach.
