I blogged about Tweeter Getter yesterday
and got some interesting reactions in my
    blog comments.

    I'd consider the potential disadvantages
before you participate. Once you start
anything with a viral component, you will
lose control and it will be impossible to
    stop it.

I've read John's blog post and he's got a point with that ....

My opinion: Yes or no? Well.. Yes and no.

It's good because you get lots of followers (I didn't get too many though but I assume it worked better for others) but at the same time the followers you get are from all kind of areas and with all kind of interests. So basically it's like getting huge traffic, but not targeted. It's up to you after all

      Hey John,

All you have to do is change your password and it will no longer have access to your account.

Do you think your followers are targeted Gary?

Any that don't like what I'll be sharing can simply unfollow. I do know that a lot of people who tweeted about it are internet marketers, and its probably a good bet their followers are too.

I had 17 followers before your script, Gary. Now I have 28, about a day later. Not bad at all, imho.

Did you get the script from @ryanwade? My first blog post is about that script, ViralTweets.

I wouldn't give my password to any other site than Twitter.com

Besides, I got a few hundred targetted followers in less than a day without your script/site.

I'd beware of the backlash against this thing. ZirconCode: Automatic Following Systems for Twitter: Death of Twittter
