Is uploading of your pic in your profile require either you become a paid member or you have to post some minimum no. of posts, as I am unable to upload my pic.

I just did it and I don't have very many posts. Are you sure you're meeting the 80x80 dimension requirements?

I have uploaded my pic. in my profile. If you go to my profile now. It appears there. But it still does not appear in the the box on left side of my post under my name cbnet. How I can do it so that it is shown along left side of my posts.

That's called your Avatar. Also an available option when you edit your details in your Control panel.
