Ok so it's not a disaster ...but I need your help.

I have a very large email list of buyers from one of my products and I've never emailed any of them. I have been so wrapped up with projects and haven't had the time to focus on the lists and developing a relationship.

However, I want to start now. So how would you recommend I warm the list?

Also, what kind of emails do you send to your list after they buy your product to start developing that relationship with them right away? ...or do you not email them right away?

Thanks Warriors!

If it were me, and I've been in the same situation...

    1) Give them a reason for being contacted (a relevant freebie)

    2) Explain that the reason you haven't blasted them with emails is because you don't do that unless you have something of value to say (works wonders)

    3) Reintroduce yourself and set out some guidelines with them as to how you're going to manage the list from now on... i.e. I'm going to start putting together x, y, z and will keep you informed.

If you manage their expectations, and then live up to them - you're 10 steps ahead of most people and will set yourself apart from the rest.

      .
This is the best piece of advice I've read all day.

If there's been a reasonable period that people have been on your list without receiving an email, you are probably best to start with something that relates directly to your product, eg: updated info, or some hot tips on utilising it efficiently.

The reason I say that, is that most people have short memories, and if they see an email from someone on a topic that appears to be unsolicited (doesn't matter even if you have a double-optin), then they are much more likely to unsubscribe or make a complaint against your email.
