Crazy Idea to Store your Best Info Online, Forever scalable & Searchable!
Hi Friends,
I was just thinking to try this idea to store all information I want to keep and store
for future reference.
There are so many great posts on Warrior Forum we want to keep for future reference,
then we find some other bits on some blog post or website article which we want to keep
in swipe file for future reference.....
Now i have tried to store these bits of info using many methods: (Past)
================================================
1. Using scrapbook plugin for Firefox and store complete webpages in local pc.
2. Hitting print button and saving in PDF file and storing on local pc.
3. Keep in text files and storing on local pc and also in dropbox sometimes.
4. Have online private blog, private google site and posting info there.
5. Even tried to print out and keep in files ...
6. Bookmarked the pages for future visit..
7. Copy pasted the chunks of info into Word Doc, Excel sheet.
8. Use specialzied applications on Desktop like OneNote, Tomboy notes....
9. Used sticky notes in pc, and other information managment systems...
and list goes on....
BUT i am sad to say that all of my info is scattered or lost already on different systems
i used to store them....
I wanted to have something cheap, easy, quick, searchable, taggable, and scalable..
which is sticky so i use it daily, which is not tied to one system or operating system
and which keep everything at one place...
and just today when i was trying to store some important business advice related post made here... i went crazy and just composed an email , put that info in it and sent to
my email so i can archive it... now think... who do not use Gmail? and does not they offer
us large free space....so i am going to do this...
New Crazy Idea Present

1. get one new gmail address for this purpose only
2. Onward mail everything i wanted to keep for future to that email
3. and that is it! I can use tags/lables in Gmail to categories all the info
and i think this will stick..let's see if it works and for how long...
