I've dealt with people from the RSS world ever since I read somewhere that people that use RSS Readers... - are the savviest of all internet users: - they make up about 7-12% of all internet users: - they also have a higher average household income than non RSS people: They have been the best/most profitable prospects to me in many niches. What is RSS?? It's just another way to syndicate your content. Just another marketing channel, just another way of getting to people that many be interested in what you have to offer. Don't ignore them, they do have money to spend. TL |

I wouldn't classify them all as being rich but they are savvy and responsive.

I'm not sure what you're doing. Everything depends on your offers, headlines, keywords etc. But here's an easier way to submit your feeds to the RSS directories. pingler.com has 92 directories for submission without logging on. Hope This Helps!! TL

I didn't say they were rich, I said they were the wealthiest group on the net. These folks are not technically challenged, savvier than the average surfer and do tend to have higher household income than the rest of internet users. In my experience in dealing with them, they are better than average prospects. Thanks to RSS feed syndication, It's simply a group of people that can easily be reached and should not be ignored no matter what niche you're operating in. TL

That's interesting. It's easy to understand why RSS subscribers would be more responsive - because they need to jump through an extra hoop or two in order to subscribe to content they're interested in. And for people using RSS readers that alert them then there's an update, those people are going to be quick to unsubscribe from content that loses their interest. For a time, Seth Godin only offered his content by RSS feed, not email, although I believe he does now. Cheers, Neil |

RSS people are very quick to unsubscribe from content that loses their interest and IMHO content that is overly promotional. I've found that if you supply them with good content and gently promote a product or service, most of them will hang around. TL
