I can't use AlertPay? Help please! (PayPal is ridiculous!)

10 replies
Hi everyone!
I recently signed up for AlertPay, as an alternative to PayPal.

I'm having some issues with PayPal, such as:

1) They Hold ALL my Funds for 30 Days.

2) I can't pay/send money from my "Available Balance", I must withdraw it to my bank first for $5, THEN, I can pay using a Visa Card, through PayPal.

Because of that (#2), I wait till the end of each month for PayPal to Auto-Transfer my funds for free,

So it always takes me 30-60 days to access the money I rightfully earned by providing helpful services to Clients.

These factors are hampering my business very much.
It really sucks...

I should note that with PayPal:
- I NEVER had any disputes with any of my sales.
- 100% Clean History.
- 277 Transactions on this account so far.
- Have been a PayPal member for 5 Years.

I've requested PayPal many times to remove these holds from my account, but they always reply with:

"After you have a successful selling history with us, we no longer require 30-day settlement periods. We'll notify you by email when payments you receive go directly to your available balance." etc...
I explained all of this in more detail here: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/...443627#U443627
(Still waiting on a reply)

Anyway, back to the main Topic. (Sorry for the rant)

I signed up for AlertPay, hoping that they will work out better for me, than PayPal does.

As I progressed through setting up my account, I am greeted by this error when trying to verify my Debit Card:

Due to temporary difficulties we cannot process credit card transactions at this time. Please try again later.
I've been getting this error since yesterday.
(I tried with both a Visa and Mastercard)

So I did some searching around online about this problem, and apparently this problem has been going on for 6 months now!

Now the other part is, AlertPay does not support Bank Transfers to my Country. (Trinidad and Tobago)

Bank transfer (for withdrawal only)
We apologize, but localized bank transfers to Trinidad and Tobago are not supported
So does this mean that AlertPay is useless to me as well?

Does anyone else experience this problem with verifying Credit/Debit Cards on AlertPay?

Thanks for your time and help!
-Andrew

    It's what you do when no one is watching
    that determines what you will be able to
    do when everyone is watching.

    Paypal is the most widely used payment processor, Alert pay is not.

    I would not recommend ditching them.

      I just looked at Mooshpay they look like a service similar to jvzoo and warriorplus. I am pretty sure they are not a payment processor. They are just a middle man for your paypal account.

    @David Sneen:
    I'm sorry that you are having problems also.
    Please write back here if you find a good alternative solution to PayPal.

    I'll try signing up to some other services soon.

    @Owen:
    I agree, and to be honest, I've been "holding on" to PayPal for Months, hoping that they will eventually fix my problem with the 30-Day holds.

    I understand that it is advisable to stick with PayPal, but what can I do?

    I can't run business waiting 30-60 days to get my funds.

    A large company wants to start sending me 1000 Orders per day for my Facebook Cover designs.

    So I have a large Team of Designers and Managers to pay.
    I can't ask them to wait 2 months before I can pay them.

    I need an URGENT solution, and PayPal doesn't care to improve my situation.

    @Alexa Smith:
    Thanks, I'll check it out.

      If that is the case use 2Checkout, I use them as they accept all credit/debit cards and also have a Paypal option.

    Paypal usually releases the 30 day hold in about 6 months of successful selling.

    As with alertpay, their visa and debit card system was down for almost 2 years now.

    You can try applying for a us ein, a fictitious name, a us bank account and then try opening a merchant account.

    I have used these methods to successfully open a merchant account

    I use alertpay and i'm loving it,i guess you should try you cards again. They don't transfer to banks in most countries but you can use a reliable exchanger in your country, you can get that by searching google.
