Exact product domain names and copyrights ?

Are those exact product domain names allowed ? I can see a lot of Kindle, TV or HP (printers) domains like this in google search or even on flippa.com
For example :

samsungd8000.com

Wont this site be down in a short time ? "Samsung" is protected by copyrights and its trademark so cant be used in domains, that's my guess.

I can see a lot of products to promote this way but is it worth to invest time and money in sites like this ?

What about subdomains ?
Will samsungd8000.awesometvs.com be treated by google as good as samsungd8000.com?

Exact domains rank rather easily, at least compared to non-exact domain names. It mainly involves on-page content, however, and SEO. Whatever you do, don't make your domain a product name or brand. Just don't.

Most like it will - not worth the hassle. It's trademark - not copyright in this case.

Subdomains can have problems, too, and so can file names of pages if the trademark owner wants to push it.

That's why so many of the names are "available" - others know not to use them.

January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.
