Site transferring question?

Let's say I have built a site on Host A, I've done all the seo and backlinking and what not to make the site rank first, but then in a few months I want to transfer my site to Host B. Will I lose all my site ranks and what not, or nothing will change because i'll have the same domain name?

    Nothing should change if you do this. I've done it before a few times with no loss of PR or rankings. The only setback is that your site will be temporarily "down" while it propagates throughout the internet. And if an "indexing" robot should happen to visit your page while it's down... then it may just index that "down" page.

    The way I go about it is to have Host B ready with all the pages in place. In this way all I have to do is simply switch nameservers.
