Question about craigslist

I posted here earlier about craigslist scraping. I simply had a question and I don't appreciate being flagged off for simply asking a question. A forum is the last place I would promote. Being new to this forum, I really am very angry about this. Can't I even ask a question?? I had asked if anyone ever used the method to scrape email addresses off of relevant categories on CL, that are related to what you are offering. I am looking to try this but don't know where to begin. I also asked if there are any comppression list software programs that I can enter email addresses that I had already sent to and compare it with emails I just scraped? Please give me some advice instead of flagging me off.

    Kyleg,

    Usually, asking questions is fine.

I believe the objection to your case is your motive with the above question.

    We as Warriors loathe spam.

    Cheers,

Collecting email addresses to send them an offer means you are contacting someone who has had no contact with you before a (presumably commercial) email. a la 'Spam'

Unless you are only collecting the email addresses that specifically say it *is* okay to contact this poster with other offers, you are collecting email addresses for what would be considered spam. Even if you did restrict yourself to the handful of addresses that specifically allowed you to send them other offers, you would generally be on shaky ground at best.

haha...yea, I can't really help you with the scraping... but, if you want to compare one email list to another for duplicates, then you can do that in a spreadsheet.

craigslistextractor is a good program I used to use, you can basically answer personals with CPA dating offers. Some advertisers don't like the traffic but if you need to make a quick $50 to $100 a day. That's the way to go.
