In all the sites you've had.....

What niche has been the most profitable? I have been getting into linkbuilding and gaming. Linkbuilding is ok..... so far but the gaming I'm way off. :-(

I've done good with the gaming niche, it helps to have over 19,500 members though ON the starting side, anything having to do with weight is very profitable. But there is very high competition in it.

    Inbound,

There are a few ways to find the best niches -- look at some of the larger operations online --everything from Interactive Corp (IAC) to some of the solo major players --it's very clear what makes great money.

I would not put "how to make money" in the top 100 even.

Then look at operations like digg, that are not even breaking even. With what you suggest, I think you're on the right track, but you need to find a unique marketing angle that drives the exposure and traffic in the niche.

    Success,
    Sam

I would keep at gaming until you start to see some returns.

When the Romans had to choose between bread vs. circus...the circus tended to win out (at least according to Daniel P. Mannix).

This recession may leave its mark on all niches, but entertainment niches won't be dying out any time soon. Or any time at all. Can't hurt to establish a foothold right now!

Thank you very much for the replies!

Sam; I hear ya on the make money niche. I reall enjoy linkbuild, software, etc. I currently have two sites which I have been told look good. Now I am in the process of trying to get the traffic there, that "Unique Marketing Angle" you speak of. :-)

Sleak; Yes, I have a few gaming sites I think are quite capable.
hcmafiabossDOTcom and hitvideogamesDOTcom. That member list you have has got me drooling! Maybe we can work a deal.:-)
