Can I Get Some Suggestions To Make 1000$ With This Site..

Hello everyone, I have not had any success with the niche sites I have built so far. Lately I have been working on this site...demodecticmangetreatment.com/blog/ .....

My intentions were to build a list and sell affiliate offers within the list. So far I have 43 subscribers which are double op-tins... I have sold one affiliate product but not for a while.

As of now the site gets about 27 visitors a day and it is ranked #5 for the keyword "demodectic mange treatment" and #19 for "mange treatment"....

I basically am wondering what it is that I should always be doing that will boost my se rankings and if whether or not this site has potential...

I appreciate all suggestions and criticism...

I would put your opt-in form above the fold...with perhaps a nice ecover, arrow, etc to draw people's attention to the form. That should boost opt-ins right away.

How many times are you emailing this list?

    Kevin

I have about 8 auto responders setup and about three emails in the autoresponder pitch an affiliate product. All within three weeks they recieve the autoresponder sequence.

Your optin form is lost in your side bar. Switch places with Facebook like box. Then make it pop and impossible to miss.

    See my blog for example
    Elmar's Marketing Blog

25 unique visits a day is not too bad. if you capture half with a good offer you will build list fast. You are on the right track. Keep building links and watch you google analytics for more clues.

I'd sack your $5 dollar writer. The content is not the best, to say the least.

It actually looks pretty nice to look at.

I bet most people leave when they read it.

To be honest I do the writing myself and I definitely know I suck at writing...

What would you suggest I do beside writing the content myself..

I don't think you suck. There are just a few silly grammatical errors.

I think it's great you write the content yourself. Unfortunately, if there are more than a few errors, it becomes obvious and you pick up on everything, which will turn people away.

I'd suggest spending more time editing, and maybe spending a few dollars on Amazon, on a cheap grammar book.

It doesn't take long to learn, but it's important if like me, you think visitors get turned off by bad grammar.

Ok I appreciate your opinion, are you saying something about the errors based off the home page or the inner pages..? Just wondering...

                From the first blog post:

There are also two forms of demodectic mange, there is localized which occurs in most young pups and will get better with little to no treatment within two to three months.

I'm not a great writer, but I'd put it something like this:

There are also two forms of demodectic mange. Localized mange, which occurs in most young...

The part after the first comma should have started a new sentence. There are a few incidents like this in the post. I never checked the rest.

Ok, I need to back over most of my content for errors and things I can improve. I get overwhelmed just to write the article and am quick to publish it.... Thanks again

                    No probs.

I'd suggest editing it the day after you write it. It's surprising what you can miss if you edit it straight away.

I only started learning to write 6 months ago. If it helps, this is what I did:

                    • Went on Wikipedia and learned of all grammar and syntax stuff.
                    • Googled them individually and read about them on English writing websites.
                    • Read authoritative articles and studied how the authors used them.
                    • Practiced.

                    Good luck with your site.

      @Thomas Belknap

So are you saying to test the difference between selling within the list and just sending them straight to a remedy affiliate offer from the blog itself in banners or text links....

I think Thomas Belknap might be on to something.

These people are searching for a problem they have, so instead of messing around, just give them the solution. I am not as much for not building a list at all. These folks obviously have dogs, and there must be something I can sell them going forward. 1-800-pet-meds?

But I think that maybe your thankyou page on your subscription might need to be an offer to something to fix there problem on the spot.

EBR just had a thread about this stuff this week. When a person has a problem, solve it quickly and forget the relationship stuff. I would make that AR series into 1 week for this stuff. Hard sell them the solution they are looking for.

Do I send them straight after they sign up..? or rather after they have confirmed their subscription...

I like the idea about hardselling...

I would try putting it right after the initial signup. Thus when they fill in the form, the next page is a way to solve their problem.

Every time you make people jump through a hop to do what you want them to do, some of them won't do it. That means lower conversion rates and less cash in your pocket.

Make it as easy as possible to do things that pay you.

Hi there. Congrats on the results you are getting - setting up an IM business and achieving results is no easy thing! What is essential is a good solid system, which allows your business to run while you concentrate on marketing and bringing in customers. As someone else noted you need an email capture box to start building a list (not sure I would do the double opt-in - why make it harder to get people on your list?) I would have an auto-responder set up with at least 30 days worth of messages and I would concentrate on giving value to your list. Not a lot of people buy straight away. When they get to know, like & trust you they will then take your advice & buy the products that you recommend. I've been looking into starting my own IM business for 4 years now & have only recently found a coaching program that teaches you how to build a solid, long-term internet marketing business. They teach in detail the points I've mentioned. It's been priceless. I hope I've been of some help. Good luck!

Find out how to use apostrophes

The header is difficult to read.

I wouldn't subscribe to a mailing list just to find out how to make my dog better.

I'm considering just adding adsense and not focus soley on list building. So far I have 45 subscribers and one sale of an affiliate product for this whole project..

I also need more traffic other than search engines..

You should watch the video I just posted a little down the page, for aspiring bloggers.

It's 45 minutes, but if you watch this I have no doubt it will save you 6 months of trial and error.

It will honestly have you evaluating your business and making the correct changes. It's a must watch if you don't want to just pussy foot around without success.

I wouldn't subscribe to a website just to learn how to cure something. If I wanna cure something or fix something, I wanna learn how to do it now.

This could make a decent sniper site. Are you familiar with that process?

Adsense won't earn you a damn thing, especially with the lack of traffic you have.

A sniper site is a 2-3 page website that focuses on 1 key phrase that has low competition and at least 3000 results/month.

So you could target the phrase "demodectic mange cure" or "demodectic mange treatment" as your primary keyword, and then focus on 3-4 related keywords/phrases.

The point is to attract SE traffic for those few keywords. Apart from that, you'll want to write 3-6 posts that have those keywords properly placed in the content so they get indexed...but not flagged for keyword stuffing.

You should also do a video or two that link back to the site, and also write a review for a product that treats demodectic mange...then offer a bonus to the visitor if they buy from you.

Do you follow me? This is a overly generalized answer but I hope it is a lil' enlightening.

Here's an example of a sniper site targeting "income times ten", a clickbank product. (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK! FOR ILLUSTRATION ONLY!!!)
Income Times Ten review - WARNING. Income Times Ten a scam?

The first thing that I mentioned in your post is that your main goal is to make money. If you cannot work with love but only with distaste, it is better that you should leave your work and try something else that you are passionate about.

The first glance that I mentioned in your website is that your banner is difficult to read and not designing professionally and has a low potential rate for attracting your visitors stay in the site.

The opt-in form is too small and static; you should make the eBook big and also make the arrow animated to catch the eye.

You should install plugin for display your RSS feed plus Facebook, twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, MySpace links. Social Networks Plugin

write some articles and submit them to directories and veterinarian sites (if you can, idk), maybe write some content for a related site and link back.

I'd def write some reviews for products that treat DDM and related ailments for dogs/pets. your audience is looking for information and cures for these things, so think about where they'd go for information/treatment, and figure out how you an get intelligent backlinks. I say intelligent bc you shouldn't link bomb, obviously. ohh, and people love youtube, so maybe create some 2-3 min videos?

you may consider the sniper site idea and just let the SE do the work...or you can turn it into a sales page and advertise. idk your budget/options, but I hope this helps.
