Making Money With MySpace ??

I know a few years back ..it was easy money..

Today it's a different story..

Is there anyone still in there make a few $$ ??

Yes, i do :-)

Its stricter, and more hardier, but you just need to incorporate new tricks to tame the old dog of social networks

Actually, many people still make money.. Don't you see the ads in there ?

I'm almost certain it can be done if you can target the right people without spamming them. Throw up a page for your business or service and bust out irresistible offers. It seems like it'd be a good platform for getting people to opt-in to a mailing list.

yes, few years ago it was easy money for spammers using bots. Its still possible to make money but will involve alot more work

I think it is still possible to make some case off of myspace,
but I honestly don't recommend it.

It's way too over saturated now.

Now think of this idea,

It's true that Myspace is probably still the largest network in term of numbers.

but you could look into targeting smaller Networks just the same.

It would take you the same effort to advertise on Myspace,
as it would on a smaller network.

It would take about the same time to sent 1000 Friend Requests on Myspace,
As it would on a smaller Network.

Well actually, that is how it was,
now it is much easier to do the same task on a smaller Network, than it is on Myspace.

Heavy Captcha enforcement and heavy anti-spam methods, makes Myspace a real troublesome task for Advertisers to deal with.

Plus the users would be quite more immune to advertisers now in Myspace.

Ive heard its much harder with myspace now and that facebook is the better way to go. I guess its not as saturated!

There are many different ways.

Example:

1) Make a Myspace profile with Affiliate links on it.
2) Send out loads and Friend Requests to Myspace users.
3) The people see your request, read your profile, click your affiliate link, you now have a possible sale!

Sending Messages Promoting your items is a good way too,
but as I said, there are heavy anti-spam techniques.
So it's now a hard task.

Thats exactly exactly what I do with one of my profiles, it generates some nice income!

I agree with jms.mrtn.

I now rely on creating proper websites that people could really enjoy and return to.

Rather than to just be some Affiliate promoter for some company.
You can make yourself the Boss of your own business

Also, spamming is never welcomed.
You want to be a positive contributor to the online Community.

Wow I'm surprised you still make a considerable bit out of myspace still.
Have you had your Profile for many years? and thus your Clients have grown over that time?

Or are you still relatively new into this Myspace thing?

If it's working for you, then keep it up!

If you decide to use MySpace, use it as a tool for networking and leaving a link to some free information such as an ebook, free video, free training, etc. Allow people who visit your profile click on your website if you provide something with value or it's FREE!

There was someone on this forum that created an e-book called "Spacebankers" and it dealt with advertising to Myspace. It was pretty well done but that was a while back so I am not sure if he has updated it or what. I believe his name was Ryan Moran or something close to that.
