Wanna jump from page 2 to page 1

What should i do to jump to google's page 1 from page 2.

I have seen often that blog commenting can hit u back so it might take me to page 3/4/5 instead of page 1 therefore i wish to do something that brings me to page 1 and keeps me there

There is no definite answer for this i know but any suggestion is welcome.

      How do you check what high PR links your competition is using? Yahoo Site Explorer?

    Focus on content based link building that by posting articles and blogs, it will get you faster ranks. I do mostly this for my site and you can check it is on top ranking. Google needs content and information which it could feed to the users and people searching for it provide it that and dominate over it.

    Those of you who said articles site submission : Which are the top 5-10 i should be using ?

    I have used goarticles, eza, ideamarkter and articlebase.

    Where else could i post as i am interested in build links thru content rather than post my backlink on a edu blog or a blog where 200 people have already commented on.
