Is a 1-page website a good concept?

I was browsing some link building services the other day and stumbled upon 'One Hour Backlinks' at onehourbacklinks.com

They seem to have a very simple site where you order from directly within the homepage.

Do you think this is a successful and user-friendly concept? It struck me as super easy and it made me wonder why more people are not adopting the model.

Is there a reason this isn't more popular?

    No. Profitable sites split up their "home", "about", "contact", "features", "pricing", "privacy" and other pages for a reason. It is more profitable.

    Only scammers and spammers still believe in and use "long page sales letters with no distracting links."

    If they actually worked well, then you would see them on the top 1,000 most profitable sites on the Internet. You don't. You only see them used by spammers and scammers.

    the one page website CAN be profitable. however, it is usually a better idea to have some unique content on the site as well, not just sales information.

    But if your site has another purpose it determines your site's concept.

    It can be profitable for adsense or a specific product you will be promoting on your site. You can make other pages like privacy policy , about, contact and make them not visible to your audience

    Don't listen to anybody else just test it for yourself if that is what your gut is telling you to do. If it converts to paid traffic then it will be the best site you ever created.
    Traffic + Conversion = sales The most important part is the conversion process. You will not know what converts until you build the website send the traffic and see if it produces sells. Take action...

    One pagers work great for squeeze pages... For an actual website, I'm not sure but one thing I always do is test something.

    You'll never know for sure until you try for yourself.

    using wordpress, i usually create backup pages so if one isn't working, I can easily switch everything over.

    Just try and see what works for yourself..
