I have my own product and have had increasing difficulty getting clicks on Adwords. I've even outsourced this task to well-known pros, and even they're having problems with my account. I'm not asking for diagnosis of my own problem --- I just want to know: are any of you really doing well with Adwords on a continual basis? The game just seems so much harder now and I'm questioning whether it's worth it. Please pass along your experiences. Thanks . . . |

Adwords is worth it and will be for a long time. Yes it will be tough if you are playing in highly competitive markets. I do pay $3 - $10 a click and still make a profit. So it all depends on the size of your wallet, your product pricing and conversion numbers.

The market, the cost per click, the conversion, the product. All of these play huge roles, adwords can be very effective if all of the above elements are met and you are generating a profit. You need to be more creative these days, that is for sure, going after terms that have the highest search counts does not mean highest profits. Going for position #1 is not always the best choice either. You need to have a total undertanding of the adwords game and your market and make sure that your page is highly optimized for conversion. |
