Scaling my Flipping Business - How to Do That?

Hi all,

I have been a flippa seller for almost a year now and recently, I have been doing quite well selling a few different sites. i am now thinking of scaling the business because i can't handle both the process of selling sites as well as developing new sites. Any advice how I should go about scaling the business?

My Plan

My plan is to hire 3 workers each doing different task. For example, one will be focus on creating sites. One will be focus on transferring sites and the other one will be working on customer service.

In that way, no one person is indispensable. The question is, how much do you think i should pay them each? By per hour, or per task?

Anyway, that's just my plan, would love to hear from those who are experience in scaling similar businesses.

Sounds like a good plan. I would pay by the task so that you pay for results not time.

Great idea, to maximize your business.

I would suggest for the small issues that can be handled by anyone, getting a VA and pay her per hour would probably be cheaper.

If you hiring Graphic designer, or web developers, I would say per task would look pretty good for it.

I would hire filipino workers...they speak great english and you can get them at a rate of about $40-$50 a week for 40 hours a week of work! You can do great expanding with very low cost this way.

Congratulations on getting ready to scale. I say for my own personal productivity experience that batching tasks is a good idea. It sounds like you're thinking right on target for this...

I would pay each week, after I had each provider had completed one project.

Just my two cents. Disclaimer: I am still doing my own work in IM, but I have outsourced in over businesses.

Hope that you get it worked out. Let us know?

Very easy way is to find a reliable virtual assistant. Odesk or elance is great for that. By the way how much you are making right now on flippa?

Since you asked, I shall reveal my income stats here. I am learning to 'mass produce' the sites so that i can develop newer and different sites to sell.

Income Report for Month of Jan and Feb

I think i will visit Odesk and Elance soon to recruit someone. Going to hire all 3 workers at $150 a week....

Outsourcing is a great idea. For your case I would definitely go with hourly for customer service and fixed price for transferring. I use to sell sites on flippa all day. It's going to be tough training a VA to do customer service, but i'm sure it can be done - you'll just have to find a really good VA and train them as problems arise so that they are familiar with everything that happens.

I would recommend you manually transfering the site.
