I just sold my first blog!!! I feel so high right now!! If people would just learn how awesome it feels to create something and have someone pay you money for it, well, the drug problem would be eradicated.

Anyway....

I have a question regarding my Hostgator reseller account. I went to the Hostgator forum and registered, but it says a moderator has to approve my account and that it could take 24 to 48 hours, so of course I came here.

Does anyone know how to take one of your ADD ON domains and create its own account and cpanel for it.

I tried it the normal way. I was in my host manager and clicked on CREATE NEW ACCOUNT, but it said that it was unable to create an account for that domain. I'm assuming that's because it's one of my ADD ON domains.

Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Sorry, but I have nothing but trouble trying to work with Hostgator. I know that many members use it but I can't configure the add on domain bit at all. I put a thread into the forum a while back but nothing much helped.

Excuse me for the oversight. Well done on selling your blog. can we have some more information about it and how you went about selling it etc. This will help others.

I think I remember your thread, Norma. I don't think I replied at the time, but I may be able to offer some help here.

To create an ADD ON domain, you simply log in to your cpanel and click on ADD ON Domains. Enter the domain name that you've registered and pointed at your Hostgator DNS namerservers, and click CREATE or OKAY or whatever it says.

Now, that domain will work just like your main domain. The only difference is, when you access your account via FTP (I can't offer help on Hostgator's File Manager because I don't use it), you will ftp into your main account, and in your root directory, public_html, you'll see a new folder with the name of the new domain you've added.

About two weeks ago I purchased a WSO that was called The Nicheblog Blueprint. It consisted of some videos that taught me how to build blogs.

The last video told me a little bit about how to sell the blog on Sitepoint.

So, I followed the information to the letter, and lo and behold, it actually worked!

The best thing that I found out, and hopefully this will inspire some who may be struggling right now, is that 9 months of trying numerous things online, and failing numerous times, that I actually enjoy this and am pretty damn good at it.

True, it took me 9 LONG months of working my butt off and making no money, but because I didn't give up, I found MY thing.

And, I know everyone says this, but if I can do it, ANYONE can. I am a 40-something single woman with no job and a dream. A dream to work for myself. That's all I have and because I didn't give up on it, I'm finally realizing it.
