[R & D] Question to those who Price a product based on # of Sales so far

Hello.

I am doing some market research right now in this thread. I have a couple of good questions for those WSO authors that increase your product's price, based on the number of sales so far.

I may already know some answers, but I want to hear it from the source's mouths. Who knows, it may enlighten everyone to hear the answers.

For those who don't understand my question, here is an example sales pitch:
First 5 to buy, get it at $7, the next 10 get it at $15, and the rest get it at $27.
1. Why do you offer this kind of price structure?
2. How do you facilitate the changes on your sales page?
3. Do you do that outside of the Warrior Forum too?

Thanks for your time. I look forward to reading the responses.

I think I posted this at the wrong time of day. Sorry for the bump, but will somebody care to answer my questions? Maybe you don't do it, but I would like to hear your conjecture too.

I've tried it once with mediocre results.

I think it adds a little bit of scarcity, but I don't think it really makes that big a difference.

Most of the times, I see it in the WSO listings. Why, oh why! Is this just a warrior trend?

I use this all the time.. in WSOs and to my lists...

      1. Why do you offer this kind of price structure?
A: Becouse it works like gangbuster for me.. And it make people take action now rather than dilly dally about it. It produces result that i want.

      2. How do you facilitate the changes on your sales page?
I change the pricing in my software control panel

      3. Do you do that outside of the Warrior Forum too?
      Yes

Do you have it set up automatically? Do you update your WSO thread automatically too?

        Thanks for answering!

The WSO thread is manually updated. The software is sales based and automatic

This tactic creates a 'Sense Of Urgency'... look up psychological marketing triggers... you won't be disappointed.

Well I made no plans on raising my WSO for bookmarking but after I seen the huge response I decided to increase it and made a note on my WSO that it may increase again, no it is not any marketing tactic.. I actually will increase the cost again if I feel I need to do so.

Now my WSO is a service so a increase in price would be based upon the work involved not how many sales are made..
