OK I have some Traffic on my Website. Now what?!

i would offer you to flip it on flippa,with so much traffic and without knowledge what to do with him you can easily sell it for 12,000$ and more.

We do not have squeeze page, the website started about 3 1/2 week ago as a fund raiser, and just took off, Is that allot of traffic, should I worry about it ?

I can't sell it guys. It is a fund raiser that will not end, I'm trying to understand what else to do with it. That traffic is nothing compared to what it can get. that is barley scraping the surface of it. I'm just hoping my ISP does not shut me down. there is a lot of data coming out of there.

Well, that depands on what you want to do with it ? I mean you could become a good affiliate...

It is a pity to have such a great traffic and not to know what to do with the site. I would love to have the same problem.

I would add contact form in it (just like a squeeze-page).. so you could capture their names and email address and start building your database for FREE.

It's definitely worth building up a list.. Go for it!

Seems like you need a basic understanding of monetization. Spend 20 bucks and pickup a WSO product that broadly covers IM.

CPA: A link to a site that pays you when people fill out info on the landing page the users go to after clicking the link on your site.
CPC: Adsense, toss a little box on your site and you get paid when people click.
Opt-In: They come to your sight, they sign up ("opt-in") for your mailing list, and then you emails them info on your fundraiser, and every now and then you offer them products. If they buy the product, you get a commission.
Affilliate: Sign up for amazon affilliate program, make a post on that product. People click, they buy, you get $$$

People are asking you about your site because they can't tell you which of the above to use...if they don't know a few things about your sit. Like, is your site dynamic (blog), or just a single static (a single page), etc.

Based on what you said so far, most folks here are recommending you to either sell it to someone that could monetize it via the above. But if you wanted a REALLY simple stream of income, just setup some CPC ads and call it a day.

What you should do now Christopher is create a newsletter for the people that come to visit your site. Be sure that after you create the newsletter, your intentions must be to make your subscriber feel like people and not just a number. You need to let your subscriber know that they can trust you. This is very important.

What you need is 'Targeted Traffic' so the people who visit your website are ready, able and willing to buy Then you need an opt-in form to convert the traffic into leads and the leads into sales!

Alot of good tips in here, get targeted traffic to your optin page and send them a series of auto responder messages, to get them to buy.

On average for me, it take approx 7 times for someone to buy.

Sometimes they buy quicker, sometimes they buy a bit later. All depends. Build a list your whole outlook and financial status will change if you do this properly.

Also, see if the recipient get's a return sent by email for each donation. It is tax deductible in many countries. That could also be filled with links and sponsors.

Since you are an expert why don't you create an optin as many other warriors suggested, your optin should give the users valuable information on this subject, then create a product (ebook) or a membership system that users can buy to stay up to date with this subject, create a forum too.

In the forum you can put ads if you want. the more posts your visitors create on the forum. the more pages indexed by Google = more visitors = more authority

The site is not worth 12,000 as some poster mentioned, the site is worth $$ when it makes $$ or there is a huge $$ potential.. ex, if I create a site about funny pics or hot chicks, I might get 30,000 visitors a day but it might be hard to monetize it since they come for the pictures or videos, I can use CPA and other methods and if that made money then yes I can sell it and show a proof.

How maddening, when getting that much traffic normally demands a ton of hard work, knowledge and sacrifice. And even that doesn’t always pay off. How maddening also that you want answers here but won’t show us the site of tell us much of anything. This is crazy.

Affiliates sell other people’s products for commission. There are several places to find affiliate products that you can sell on a website that gets traffic. Including but not limited to:

CPA Networks.(if you qualify; and to qualify, most want to see your site and the extent of your experience before accepting you.) To see the huge range of affiliate products available, go to OfferVault.com. You may get a little education there about CPA in general; or Google CPA for the education, and Google CPA networks for their websites. Think in terms of looking for products that RELATE to defense. What do defense fans like, collect, wear, read etc. Such related products may be hard to find but use your imagination; know your market’s wants and needs and you may find an affiliate product that fits in order to monetize your site.

All that traffic and no sales? What are you selling? How do you go about getting leads and sales for your business? Can you provide us with your website URL?

What is your website all about? are you making it for money or just for exposure? well if both the number of visitors you get is pretty impressive. If you are selling something, the best thing you will do is to convert them into customers.
