You have to be careful there. Most Youtube videos have links in the resource
box that link to the originator of the video.

You should try to create your own video and drive traffic to that
video. Once people view your video, they will visit your site through
your link placed in the description area.

    Good Luck!

You can't use Videos you don't have right, it's better you create yours or you can search for amateur videos, contact them that you will like to use their video as these will give their video more exposure. Hope this help and I believe other members will also give you more tips to YouTube vids.

I realise that some people upload video's that don't belong to them and if you use them you may get in trouble. I also realise some have copyright issues attached. Either way a bit of due diligence doesn't hurt.

One thing though, in response to the three above me that think it's "dangerous" to use any other YouTube video's....

What is the embed code for?

Sharing videos, but that's not my main concern. The video itself could be yanked easily, and then your left without anything. That's why I encourage him to create his own video, so he's not left hanging if a video in question gets banned.

Yes it's a bit unethical, but it's also a bit dangerous. What if YouTube pulls that video for whatever reason, you'd be left hanging in the wind. I would create a video yourself, and then upload it. That way you can always re-upload it later if something happens, and you won't have to worry about upsetting anyone by using it on your website.

Ok I am going to take the opposite side. When it comes to youtube videos if they allow you to embed the video they are pretty much saying you can use it. When it comes to our Video scribing video a lot of people have taken them to sell on their site. It is ok with us as long as they give us credit. If they do not want you to copy it they should water mark it or not embedding. It is a fine line but in this day and age it seems like the more you share the more you get.

Here's a snippet from YT's TOS. I've bolded parts for clarity, and if you plan on using YT for any reasons you should familiarize yourself with their TOS.

      6. Your Content and Conduct
      1. As a YouTube account holder you may submit Content to the Service, including videos and user comments. You understand that YouTube does not guarantee any confidentiality with respect to any Content you submit.
      2. You shall be solely responsible for your own Content and the consequences of submitting and publishing your Content on the Service. You affirm, represent, and warrant that you own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish Content you submit; and you license to YouTube all patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights in and to such Content for publication on the Service pursuant to these Terms of Service.
      3. For clarity, you retain all of your ownership rights in your Content. However, by submitting Content to YouTube, you hereby grant YouTube a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicenseable and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the Content in connection with the Service and YouTube's (and its successors' and affiliates') business, including without limitation for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels. You also hereby grant each user of the Service a non-exclusive license to access your Content through the Service, and to use, reproduce, distribute, display and perform such Content as permitted through the functionality of the Service and under these Terms of Service. The above licenses granted by you in video Content you submit to the Service terminate within a commercially reasonable time after you remove or delete your videos from the Service. You understand and agree, however, that YouTube may retain, but not display, distribute, or perform, server copies of your videos that have been removed or deleted. The above licenses granted by you in user comments you submit are perpetual and irrevocable.
The full TOS can be found here...

I somewhere would agree with this - but still just be careful.

There is a "Share" button for a reason. You can easily put the video on your website.

Is it unethical to use these videos for your affiliate deals? That's hard to say. Personally, I don't see how it is. You aren't stealing the videos because you can share them. Not only that, but since YouTube is getting money (someone is still viewing their video) and the video maker is getting a backlink, you are actually helping both parties and yourself.

Now, is it better to make your own videos? Definitely. But, for the short-term, using someone else's is perfectly fine. Just remember that people may want to go to that person's YouTube page, which will take them away from your website.

Without a doubt it is totally fine to embed videos on you website or blog.
The creator of the video has total control as to whether they want to share the video or not.

The content you put around the video is totally up to you. You can cetainly put affiliate links and anything you want, on your web property as long as it does not violate YouTubes's TOS.

I have embeded countless videos from other users on my websites, and blogs with no problem. For example, I use the videos that contain a recipe that will fit in with my web pages or blogs.

I am very careful of the videos that I use. For example I would never post a video that has adsense ads embeded on the video. I don't want to put other people's adsense ads on my site. That does not make sense to me.

However, if you really want use video for product reviews, I think you should use your own video that you created.

You can embedd the video onto your site that is no problem. But as other people mentioned when they click the video it will come up with the other persons website in the description.

Its good to add content and interest by adding videos to your site.

I would also consider getting some videos made yourself. You can outsource this easily on Fiverr. Then you can upload them yourself and add your site/affiliate links.

I would def start making my own review videos. It's not hard once you give it a go and you'll have complete control over where you send your leads.

Either direct them to your squeeze page and add to you mailing list or cloak your affiliate link and send them straight to the landing page.

Very easy to do yourself - I love Youtube for this exact reason Let me know if you have any problems?
