If you create your own videos for your business...I have a quick question.

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of putting together a site based on video tutorials for entrepreneurs who prefer to create their own videos.

I realize that the advice for most people is to outsource this task because post production for videos can be tedious but my goal is to create for people who actually enjoy the process.

So here are my questions, what software do you use to create your videos (my comfort level lies within Final Cut Pro X & After Effects) but what do you use to create videos?

Would you be interested in learning how to create your own lower-thirds fly outs, logo overlays, intros, etc, to make your videos more polished?

The reason I'm creating this site is because I've had quite a few people comment on videos I've made for my college classes when I was in school and I love creating them and I realize that most entrepreneurs choose to use standard templates but want to take video to another level.

I appreciate any opinions, experience or comments on the subject.

Thanks

I use Final Cut & After Effects. There are some high quality After Effects video tutorial sites out there, so you need to think of a way to differentiate yourself from them.

You're right, that initially drove me away from creating a site like this but people kept telling me that there isn't a tutorial site geared towards quick post production for entrepreneurs.

No one is going to touch Andrew Krammer (VideoCopilot), aetuts, izzyvideo, etc. But I keep finding that you have to search for tutorials that apply to your videos rather than a site dedicated to them.

If you or anyone else knows someone who does final cut & AE videos (or anything like that) that are focused on entrepreneurs please post it.

    Thanks

I use Magix Movie Edit Pro 17 for my videos. I think they are up to version 19 now.

There are a lot of training videos on Youtube for MMEP.

I've never heard of Magix Movie Edit Pro, I'll have to check it out.

I recommend Screen Recording Suite + Windows Live Movie Maker.

Screen Recording Suite is the best screen recorder for entrepreneurs.
It has an easy-to-use interface that makes it flexible and convenient. It is able to record all activities on your computer. For example, you can record the real-time show, PowerPoint slides, software demos and the webpages. The system sound and microphone can be recoded at the same time. Also, it supports hotkeys to start and stop recording.

Screen Recording Suite is not only capable to capture video, screenshot, but also can support to create schedule task. Schedule task allows you to record automatically if you set the time to start and to stop in advance. There are various formats that you can convert to. If you want edit your recording, Windows Live Movie Maker will help you to add some effects.

Personally I use Camtasia, it's the one I've gotten used to. Really easy to learn and use.

I personally don't do much animation and stuff like that, just on screen recordings and the occasional live interview.

Well someone mentioned Active Presenter on another thread. I've only been tinkering with it for an hour or so but I'd definitely recomend it, especially if you're looking for free software. Other than that I've found both Camtasia and Windows Movie Maker particularly useful but then again I don't do much fancy animation either.

I'd definitely be interested in After Effects and your idea though. Of course I'd want my vidos to look more polished.

Yes. Those seem like interesting videos that you are talking about potentially creating.

I use Sony Vegas and Photoshop to create videos. Design graphics with photoshop and use Sony Vegas to make everything look good and fit well together. Match made in heaven.
