How to Monetize a Travel Domain with 150 Hits/Day

I have a domain name that is very similar to one of the big travel sites. For a while, I had it on GoDaddy's Cash Parking, then went to Parked.com until they dropped their site. I then tried Sedo and Namedrive, but the revenue is considerably less than I had received before. Finally I tried to go back to GoDaddy, but they won't let the site on Cash Parking now. I am guessing because of the misspelling.

I get about 150 hits a day on average, and was making $400/month for a long while. But now I am unsure how to monetize the domain. Does anyone have any good ideas on what I could do with it?
#150 #domain #hits or day #monetize #travel

Create your own membership and sell it to your visitors.

    Membership sites.
Holiday things (sunscreens, sunglasses, hiking gear etc) affiliate.
More high end affiliate stuff. Travel company affiliate.

You have a brain, we all use ours. Time to start using your own :p

You could try heading over to OfferVault.com and see if you can find a travel related CPA offer that would be a good match for your site

I don't send traffic traffic to opt in pages anymore. I Do This instead...

If the site relies on a misspelling of a trademarked term you could find yourself in trouble at some point.

I would put an opt-in form on the page and build a travel list.

You can create a product of your own, such as a membership site. This is a great option, but it will take time and a little money to set up.

Maybe, in the meantime, you could set up a quick affiliate site with travel guides or accessories. You can use wordpress, to make it faster to set up. If you don't want a blog format, use pages instead. Alternatively, use an amazon e-store. You could probably set one up in a few minutes if you already have an Amazon Associates account. Then just redirect your domain to the store.

Thanks for all of the help on this. I have been thinking on this for awhile, and should have mentioned that in the post. I thought there may be something specific to the travel industry that I was unaware of as I don't know much about it.

The idea that has been standing out has been the idea of building a travel list, and that might be the way that I go.

I had never heard of OfferVault Rok Solid, and will head over there to see what they have to offer.

It's time to just make the decision and get to work!

    Thanks again.

I would offer the Go Daddy reviewer 50% of the take to let it slip back on cash parking
