Ways to promote my service?

Hi Warriors! I've been in the IM Game for nearly 5 months and I haven't earned anything yet . It's been a lonely journey as I don't have anyone to discuss my ideas with . Until this month , I met someone who provided me with some motivation . Finally , I took action to start a writing service since I've always been interested in writing articles.

Here's the question I want to ask :
What are the ways to promote my article writing service?

If you havent earned anything yet, are your testimonials on your website fake?

That is both illegal and unethical if you don't disclose that fact.

Paying for reviews (whether with money or free products and services) and then not disclosing that is misleading. The FTC requires disclosure.

Once you disclose that the reviews were incentivized, they become worthless.

Use only reviews from actual paying customers if you want to stay within the law and run an ethical business.

If you are willing to be dishonest "just to get started", then why would anyone trust you to purchase your service?

Some will. But then you are attracting dishonest customers. You will have a high refund rate and a high chargeback rate.

Doing the right thing know and having a firm commitment to always doing the right thing leads to having a thriving honest business.

Do you really want the kind of customer you just got after you admitted that you have incentivized testimonials on your site and you don't even intend to delete them until you have real testimonials from paying customers? What does that say about your new customer's ethical compass?

I deleted the testimonials and I'll put up REAL testimonials up tomorrow

How could someone visiting the website know whether it is real or not?!

I would imagine that a better way is to ask for those people to offer to link to a testimonial on their website (i.e. a nofollow from the article site and a link from the testimonial writer to the article site.) That way you clearly show that the testimonials aren't fake (although... it's assuming that the owners are distinct people too... but you can generally do some research on that.)

Looks like you got a job. Congratulations with that. Anyway, if you're looking for ways to promote, why not try asking your friends for help in that department? They might be able to find people in their network that would need article writers like you. You could also try showing your stuff through your social media accounts.

Spread the info about what you can do. You can start doing it here, on warriorforum. Try fiverr, odesk, elance, etc. Just google them, you'll find plenty of them.

Are you a War Room Member? If not you need to be.

I left it far too long to become a member. The $37 joining fee is peanuts compared to the value of the products, help and advice being offered.

Just remember to give something back to the forum when you are able.

5 months and you still don't know at least few ways to promote a service? Well, seriously, you must have been doing something else in these 5 months, but not reading and learning IM.

Also, it depends on your article writing style - cheap article writing (ex. $0.70 per 100 words) / quality article writing (ex. $1.5 per 100 words) / premium article writing (starting from $20-30 per regular article) / smth else? If you are cheap, you may try fiverr.

My writing style is quality article writing . I've been thinking of starting a service thread but I'm worried no one would support my service since there are tons of competition there

If you are good in writing articles, it is a great way of earning online. Good writers are
always in demand. You should look for work on many freelance sites available:

    odesk.com
    freelancer.com
    elance.com
    fiverr.com (and it's clones)
    iwriter.com
    textbroker.com

You might start slow and but don't get discouraged, build your reputation and ratings
with quality work and your job offers and rate will go up. Good luck!

If you want some quick bucks, Iwriter is a site you can find tons of article that needs to be written. Of course, you can only earn as little as $2 when you started out. But an elite member can earn up to $20.

Some says iwriter is a waste of time, but I earn $4 on the first hour. You can say its little but applying for a job at odesk or any freelance site require fame. No employer would just hire a new member registered on today.

Perhaps you can try the following:
    1. Find out what are the popular topics in your niche
    2. Create some article about it with GREAT content
    3. Post them onto your website
    4. Engage in forum conversation. Insert links back to your website in your signature

Hope it helps. I'm still learning as well.
