A 'squeeze page' is a web page that is specifically designed
to get the contact details of the site visitor, e.g. e-mail
    address at a minimum.

The idea is that you focus your website visitor on making
ONE decision and taking ONE desired action: giving you their
    contact details.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

It is also mostly used by most online sellers to increase their income.

A squeeze-page is a page offering visitors only one course of action, with no distractions or alternative exit points (except the 'close'/'back' button).

Traditionally that action could take any form, but these days the term is used almost exclusively to describe a page with an opt-in form whose purpose is to get people subscribed to a mailing list.

The idea is that by restricting the options served up to a user, you increase opt-in/conversion rates. That's often the case and they're very popular for this reason, but one must question (i.e. test) whether more subscribers ultimately translates into more income. Squeeze pages, being overtly 'marketer-like', can put off certain types of people too, and they might happen to be the ones with the greatest interest in the products/services on sale.

    Kange,

A squeeze page is also referred to as a landing page. It usually will use written copy or a video to get a name, email, and sometimes other information. Squeeze pages are primarily for building lists that you can stay in front of, provide content and value, and market to.

Squeeze pages are designed to obtain a visitors email address, and any other information . visitors are encouraged to opt-in to an email list to receive more information regarding a subject. This then becomes your "list". typically these are used with auto responders such as aweber.

You should make it simple and straightforward, so that the visitor knows that the only options are to opt-in to the email box.

The difference is that without an opt in / squeeze page who are you sending the newsletter to? If you have not collected email addresses via an opt in or squeeze page then you will not have a list to send your newsletter to. If your newsletter is on a website and has a box where the viewer can enter their name and email address, then this is a squeeze page.

In my humble opinion an opt in page is the most important tool you will ever use as your list is your business. Without a list who are you going to sell to.

Hmm, not quite. The newsletter is the thing you send out to subscribers, but you still need a way of acquiring subscribers if you're to have anyone to whom to send your newsletter (or emails in general, whatever format they take). That normally, these days, happens through an opt-in form.

A squeeze page is just one way of presenting an opt-in form to visitors in conjunction with some incentive to get them to enter their details. Other options include integrating the form somewhere within your main website layout, having a popover/lightbox opt-in (meh, ghastly), etc.

Hence, a squeeze page is also known as a capture page.

To the OP, do your further research also by "googling" it since you definitely have an overview already of what a squeeze page is.

Perhaps you just asked this question because of curiosity. However, if you are more serious of creating one, you should check aweber and optimizepress.

It's simply a very small webpage designed to get people to sign up to your opt-in email newsletter. You will need an autoresponder for this. With the autoresponder, you put the sign up code on your squeeze page, and then drive people to this webpage so that people can subscribe and receive your email content.

Think of the process like a ultimatum. A person visits your page and you give them one option take the gift in exchange for us to keep communication or leave. A good squeeze page converts at 30% or higher. It helps you build a relationship with your visitors through your autoresponder.

Based in the posts above and doing a little bit of a research regarding this topic, the squeeze page is really a good strategy to lure potential customer or clients to your site that could be interested to -or maybe even purchase- whatever products and/or services you are promoting online. This could also make or break your relationship with the clients; either leaving them with a good impression of your site, or they might just ignore it at all like the commoner does. But in general, a squeeze page in your site is a big help

A squeeze page is a single web page with the sole purpose of capturing information for follow-up marketing; that means NO exit hyperlinks. Quality squeeze pages use success stories that the prospect would relate to when making a buying decision. They also use things like color psychology, catchy sales copy and keyword rich text placed with SEO in mind. Some advanced marketers even use audio and video on their squeeze page.
Internet marketers borrow copywriting techniques from offline direct response marketing. This includes the use of a headline, bullets, teaser copy, deadlines, testimonials, scarcity, and the like. Aggressive marketers will present visitors with multiple incentives in exchange for their contact information.

Squeeze pages help you to define the strength of your list in a couple of months but that needs continuous working & hard work so you can get a lot of subscribers coming through your page...

Its specifically more than an optin page which enables you to bring income to your account

If you need to know what any internet marketing term means, you could just google it and you 'd get lots of good definitions.
To do that just type: "define squeeze page" in the google search bar and you'd get more than enough definitions. I just did that for you and I got this:

    Definition for squeeze page:
    Web definitions:
Squeeze pages are landing pages created to solicit opt-in email addresses from prospective subscribers..

A squeeze page is just another name for a landing page created to opt-in email addresses from people.

From this squeeze page, you build your list of subscribers or potential clients. Build your list thoughtfully because as a lot of people say, the money is on the list.

It's basically a capture page in which marketers "squeeze" information out the visitor, in Internet Marketing that is the email address.
