Wordpress stats vanished?

So I was all excited because an old blog of mine was on track to hit 1000 visitors today - which has never happened before on this site.

Half an hour ago I log in and see - that my stats have simply vanished from my wordpress dashboard? Was there earlier today but now no graph or anything? This is using the old Wordrpess.com stats on a wordpress.org blog. I can't get over the timing as this blog has been running with these stats for about 2 years and today was the only day I cared.

So did wordpress shut down the old STATS plugin an hour ago or something?
Does anybody know anything about wordpress.com stats?

    Is your site on wordpress.com or is it a self hosted site?

    If it's self hosted with Hostgator or another hosting place, there will be stats in your cpanel. I use those all the time...

      Self hosted site. Yea I also use GA (which I now don't like as much) but I really preferred the wordpress.com stats plugin because it was right there in my dashboard.

      Man, can we all just agree that the Internet is cool now - and stop updating everything all the time? Back to figuring out how wordpress has: "improved my experience" I guess...
