Infusionsoft Affiliate ID Tracking Problem

I have only used Infusionsoft from the affiliate side.

One of the vendors appears to be telling me that there is a problem with the Infusionsoft's tracking and not all the commissions showing under my login are valid and may belong to someone else.

Best I can tell, it has something to do with whether or not I am the first affiliate to send the purchaser to their site.

I thought infusionsoft handled all of that accurately before giving an affiliate credit for the sale.

Are there any vendors (product owners) here that use Infusionsoft to track affiliate sales,
who could comment on whether or not this is a legitimate issue with Infusionsoft?

Thanks in advance, JEFF

    Hey Jeff,

I've set up over a hundred affiliate programs via Infusionsoft and when it's done correctly, Infusionsoft's tracking is almost bulletproof. But, what I see all to often, is businesses don't have something configured correctly to achieve the outcome their program is shooting for.

There's all kinds of things to consider:

    - First vs. Last Referring
    - Track Click History
    - Track IP
    - Standard vs. Custom link structure
    - Lead Vs. Sale or combination of both
    - How the order is being processed
    - If they use affiliate links to track their internal efforts

It's hard to say with out seeing the Infusionsoft application and how it's been set up. Hope this is somewhat helpful to you though. It's never fun to receive commissions only to have them taken away as fast as they came.

I would echo what Jarrod says. Infusionsoft works fine if set up correctly.

    Hi Jarrod (and Salesexpert),

YES - that is very helpful.
Thanks for taking the time for that informative reply.

The best I can tell from the information I have received so far, it is the issue of:
    First vs. Last Referring

The vendor is actually a reasonably big name in the IM niche.

He has been selling his Make Money Online course for years.
He swapped from Clickbank to Infusionsoft some time back (a year or so ago).

I thought I had waited long enough for him to work-out-the-bugs.
And I kinda figured someone selling a high dollar Make Money Online Course/Class would make sure their affiliate tracking was working properly.

I know there are different points-of-view when problems occur but if I had known my commissions showing in his affiliate set up on Infusionsoft were not correct, I would have probably sent my traffic to a different offer.

    It's a little over $5000.
About $4000 has cleared the 60 day (approx) holding period.

I have promoted a few Make Money Online products over the last couple years and this is the first time I have had an issue with getting paid.
