This is true in business, and in life.

Life is too short to make every mistake and learn from it yourself. Therefore, it is imperative to learn from the mistakes and failures of others so that you do not repeat them. This is why they teach History class in school - so that mistakes made by previous generations aren't repeated.

Here are some of my tips:

Got a mentor, teacher, or parent? Ask them about some of their biggest failures and what they learned from them.
Everytime somebody posts about a mistake they made, get out your notepad and jot it down. Learn what they learned.

We are in an age of information, where gaining not only knowledge, but now others' experiences, couldn't be made anymore available.

I guarantee this will help you all immensely in business and life and will expedite your journey to success.

I learned my biggest lessons by making the mistakes myself. Falling on my face over and over has brought me much wisdom. In fact I enjoy running into traffic just to speed up the process.

I too have learned from my own mistakes, but I get back up and keep going. I have also avoided many potential mistakes by heeding the advice of others, but remember that sometimes you really believe in something and will need to make a mistake on your own, even after you've been told you shouldn't do it.
