Hello Warriors,

I need some redirect advice as i am unsure of what route to take!

Ok, my company has a a number of websites and some of them are going to be merged!

do i redirect the whole website to the new domain, or do i redirect individual pages to their new version on the new domain, then redirect do an entire site a few weeks afterwards?

obviously i will have to provide the change of address for each page in webmaster tools aswell.

does anybody have any experience in this? and any pointers they can give, or should i just simply redirect the entire site to the new site homepage?

Best Regards

Vez

What I have done in the past is redirect individual pages from the old version to the new version on the new site. I did permanent 301 redirects and that way people still got to the content they were looking for.

I didn't see any drop in search result position either.
