Not likely... You would need a link from the page with PR of 6 to get the link juice.

Blog comments on dofollow or not blogs do pass some link juice on though.

However only while the blog post is on the top ten latest posts list and on the front page of the blog.

When it drops off so does the Google effect, it sinks. So, if you are going to comment on a PR6 blog, do so all the time, participate heavily, use your head and comment with something better than "nice blog".

I tested this with my name Chris Lang. I commented regularly on a DoFollow blog (wanted to point that out, means little but needs to be said) and I posted very good comments that enriched the parent article.

I shot to the top of Google for "Chris Lang" but then I quit as part of this very crappy test that really can't be held up to a candle. But when I quit posting on every conversation I sank fast with in a few weeks.

Incontrovertible proof? NO. Possible? YES. Now so many have linked to my blogs thru my name as link text it is impossible to say.

But when I was a total social marketing newbie I got my name out there by commenting on everything I could. Who cares about the link juice, comments are your number one tool to get known as an authority.

Look at how Andy Beard does it. If you link to him from a post he will follow it back and leave a comment that is at times better than your blog post. There is so much more to be had from comments than a little link juice, comment your butt off.

I hate to say this but for the newbies out there, Google PageRank and ToolBar PageRank are two different things. I know, I know, you have heard it all before but for lurking newbies I just want to make sure they are not turned into the new generation of PR worshipers.

I get the whole PR spiel shoved down my throat by big SEO guys everytime I mention it so don't flame me on this. Just trying to set the record straight.
