Domain name and it's relativity.

I plan on writing a lot of free content on my site to build up a real following before I start pushing out affilliate products or doing reviews, it's going to be a about selling my name and writing style initially whilst submitting articles to Ezine to build links. I want to build up strong trust and whilst I want to make money I can be very very patient with this. I want to provide quality content that engages people it's going to be in a very competitive niche.

So my question is how important is the domain name and its relativity?? Do i have to find a sub niche within a niche cos it's in a competitive niche, I might want to jump around a bit with related niches??

So it looks like you want to build a brand?? You'll need to think about what market your getting into... If it's mainly IM stuff you could have endless possibilities for domain names.

If your building a niche site to sell a particular product then keywords would be important but if it's just a general authority site with product reviews I don't think it'd be a big deal...

Why not create a domain based on your name (assuming it's still available) given that you state that you want to "sell" your name.

Could be something as simple as jayemomarketing.com or something similar.

I agree with Noel: if you're in a particule niche, kewords matter. Otherwise focus on creating your own brand. In both cases you could consider using Facebook.

    Hope that helps!
