Struggling to find this particular type of blog comment service

It seems that 99% of blog commenting services that I find are for backlinking purposes only. I'm looking for a service where somebody manually finds popular blogs in my niche, and writes relevant comments along with a link to my website.

So in short, I'm looking for quality traffic, not backlinks.

I've found one guy who provides this service on fiverr, but he only manually comments on 3 blogs, which doesn't seem quite worth it.

Anybody know where I can find this type of blog commenting service?

At last...a worthwhile link building fiverr gig (possibly)! Can you post the link, please?

Did you make up "make intelligent, informed comments" in your own little fantasy world or are you just plain blind?

I can find a blog and make a RELEVANT comment in about 2 or 3 minutes. At the most 5 minutes max.

Seriously, if you can't add anything constructive to this forum, don't post at all.

Check the "Thanks" count. I'm more helpful than you by a factor of 10 to 1.

You said you wanted "quality traffic." You're only going to get that if people are intrigued enough by the comment to click through to your site.

        Duh.

Though why am I surprised, given the level of most peoples' understanding on the WF about traffic building...

Wouldn't dream of hitting the thanks button, most of you're posts are completely useless. You seem to criticise a lot, but forget to add the constructive part. (Sorry to be blunt, but just being honest )

True. I can still do that in less than 5 minutes, and I'm not a particularly fast writer. I guess some of us are a bit slower than others.

        Definition of RELEVANT

        1
a : having significant and demonstrable bearing on the matter at hand
b : affording evidence tending to prove or disprove the matter at issue or under discussion <relevant testimony>
Sounds like it would have to be intelligent, informed comments in order to be relevant. Perhaps if you explained what relevant means in your world, the rest of us would know what you are really looking for.

Are you actually getting good results from blog commenting this way? I am just curious because I never have had really any good traffic from the comments on blogs. And I am talking about the comments I leave on a blog.

You are better off in my opinion doing guest posts on those sites or some form of link exchange for in content links back to your site to get traffic from those sites. By the time people get to the comments area most are either gone or not clicking out to someone elses site.

The point of the blog commenting is to build backlinks which help in the serps as you know. I would just get on elance or oDesk and hire someone for around 5 an hour to do it for you. Just finding someone that can properly do it for you will be the challange.

I am still interested in you results of doing blog comment and generating traffic from the actual blogs. I may have been doing something wrong since I never see traffic that way. Only when I have a quest post or mentioned in someone else's post do I see any traffic.

    my 2 cents,
    Jason

Yeah, it's a really good source of quality traffic, but to get good results, it's basically a numbers game.

If you've got 500 approved comments on 500 different blogs, and you can average just 1 UV per day, thats an extra 15,000 UV's per month.

Along the way, you discover the best blogs which are bringing in the most traffic, and then re-comment on them if necessary.

lol, well this thread turned sour real quick..

anyway, getting back on topic, dont pay anyone to do it.

you can find relevant blogs here for free: http://www.findblogposts.com/

then just go & write up a quick comment. takes like 30 seconds per blog.

EDIT: damn, it looks like that site is no longer online.. sorry man.

BUT - if you give me a list of keywords, i can harvest a list of relevant blogs for you if you like with scrapebox.

i wouldn't charge anything since it would only take a few min.

It's ok mate, I'm looking to outsource blog commenting completely and focus on other sources of traffic.

Thanks for the helpful and useful post though, it's exactly what forums are supposed to be about.

I think this is exactly the right approach to blog commenting (and at the same time, let's admit that as long as they're relevant blogs, whose traffic we can actually use, the backlinks don't hurt us, either!).

There've been quite a few conversations here, over the last couple of years, about the difficulties of outsourcing this.

My own feeling about it is that although I'd have no objection in principle to outsourcing it, the reality is that it's probably just too high risk to do. I know how difficult it's going to be to find someone I can trust enough to "represent me" in that sense for what I always hope might turn out to be the start of a relationship-building process. Today's blog-comment on a site relevant enough for me beneficially to draw traffic from it is tomorrow's guest blogging, article syndication and other things. At least, it ought to be.

I don't envisage finding someone with an appropriate skill-set to do work of this level of sensitivity and judgment for much less than $30 per hour. (I equate it, in my own mind, with a "literate editor's rate", and that's certainly about $30.) And I know well, having done it myself for over 3 years now, how few comments on appropriate sites one usefully and beneficially does in an hour.

It's like almost everything else in internet marketing, really: it's all about quality and relevance.

I'm a very happy customer at Fiverr, in general, for the funny/gimmicky/weird stuff I buy there ... (and for $5 a time, who cares anyway?), but this definitely isn't something for which I'd be looking there. Just my perspective.

If you think that you can bang out a comment every 3 minutes, that's 20 comments an hour, just do it your self.
Too time consuming, which is why I'm looking to outsource blog commenting. I want to dedicate my time to a different traffic source.

Not 100 blogs, that's just silly. Something in the 5-10 blogs seems about right.

When I say relevant, I mean anything related to the article they're commenting on. It could be just a small paragraph on something they agree/disagree on. Nothing special, just not spammy.

Agreed. I would have to do a practice run on one of my smaller niche sites, just to make sure the comments are ok.

After some more browsing on Fiverr, I found a guy offering 5 relevant blog comments for $5. He has really good feedback, so hopefully I can send him some more work.

Yes ... this is clearly the way to try it, if you think you might have found someone.

        Well, good luck with it.

Sorry to sound such a skepchick about it, but my guess is that people buying/selling three or five blog comments for $5 at Fiverr are all looking at it as "backlinks" and not thinking about traffic at all, and that however much good feeback there is, there, it may all mean no more than "comments were published with my link in them", if it even means that much. Hoping I'm wrong about that ...

No, you're probably right, and I had this suspicion when ordering this gig. However, I'm willing to make a $5 investment just for the potential of a long term blog commenter.

Blog commenting is definately one of the most underrated traffic sources out there. Usually, the people who get to the comment section of an article, are interested and want to learn more. And obviously these are the types of people you want on your list!

          Definately a numbers game though..

I just commented on someone's blog, spurred by a comment they made on someone else's blog.

I clicked through to their site, read their mission statement to get a sense of what they're doing, read their two most recent postings, followed a non-aff link to a tool they were recommending, tried it briefly, thought for a few moments (is this the kind of blog the world needs, what are the positive things I can truthfully say, do I have any insights, would I want to read more here) and THEN wrote a comment.

I don't know how long it took because I'm not on the clock. But it wasn't quick. And it wasn't gimme gimme gimme. If I get any benefit from this comment, at least I gave as good as I got.
